The german Football association AFVD postboned the season start of all competitions (Youth, Flag, Tackle, Cheerleading), or at least is seriously announcing this step to be the next possible move, btw. And they told to be careful during training not to touch others. If someone would have told me "training without touching" when I played OLine

American media is awful right now. They are spreading fear far and wide, yet neglecting to report the number of contractions and death for the regular seasonal flu, which currently outstrips Corona heavily.

Yes, Corona is serious and yes, we need to be aware and cautious, but really, there is no increased risk of the regular flu, other than Corona seems to be unaffected by the flu shot.

The panic setting in to the US right now is a direct result of the fear mongering media.

This difference is nothing to be glossed over. You, me and other young, healthy Americans likely having nothing to fear as infection would not be life threatening to us. But to those with pre-existing respiratory conditions, infection is close to a death sentence. As a healthcare provider who works in a nursing home, I'm very fearful of someone bringing the virus to my place of work and wiping out our residents.

I'm not interested in a drawn-out debate about media coverage, particularly in an RZA forum where we come for enjoyment, so I'll leave it at that.

Sounds rough, good luck and stay safe.

Hope everyone here and there loved ones will be safe.

I'm personally not worried about my health but as a digital nomad I cannot stay home since I don't have a home and this is starting to make traveling with a French passport more complicated, even though I've not been to France, or Europe, for like 8 months

Maybe like this sounds most clear?

Restrictions for two or three weeks against the virus will not be enough... but they will be enough to kill an huge part of our economy...
With the crisis we will have to face the financial damage that will be levied on the Italian footballing community will be the last of our problems…

I can only watch what appears to be a financial collapse. Things are going to be very different when the dust settles.

I'm in Minnesota USA and I believe we have 9 cases confirmed, spread out in different counties. Then I read Ohio USA has 5 confirmed cases, but health officials believe 100k are walking around with it. They just don't know it yet. To think it's all around us, and perhaps within us, is real and oppressive. Enough to be distracted from the tumbling economy.
