I almost added little giants but thought there's no way anyone remembers that movie!

Sure I do!

But I never saw that Tom Cruise movie.
But according to the web he was a DB, not WR.

I do need some names for the other positions, i guess open it up for suggestions from other managers so we can have trophies for end of season 40

Trophies

QB - Shane Falco
WR -Jack Dundee
RB - Darnell Jefferson
FB -
TE -
OL - Gordon Ramsey
DL -
LB - Bobby Boucher
CB -
SF -
K- Nigel Gruff
P -

Manager - Tony D'Amato (thought of an award for manager of the season, this could be voted by the other managers, so not just the one who wins the championship)

And will probably just do 1st place winner with some comments.

Some ideas for names are movies or worst NFL player for a position or something like the OL one, connected with the stats. (OL is pancakes so used Gordon Ramsey )

FB - Don Billingsley from 'Friday Nights Lights the film'
TE - Brian Murphy from 'The Replacements'
DL - Steve Lattimer from 'The Program' Google The program starting defense
CB - Trumaine from 'Wildcats'
SF - Spike from 'Little Giants'
P - The hardest position on football movies, usually not named. But I guess Derek Wallace from 'Waterboy' as only Kicker in the roster did both

Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.) was the WR in the Tom Cruise movie Jerry Mcguire, It's more of a rom com with him as the agent, but a pretty solid movie overall.

The 80's movie with Tom Cruise as the DB was not as much a football movie as it was an angsty teen trying to get out of a not great town/situation. Saw it 15ish years ago and am in no hurry to see it again.

Way better off with Varsity blues (way ahead of it's time with concussion concerns) or the original longest yard as top football movies with comedy that aren't biopics. Behind the Replacements of course.

A solid biopic would be Brian's song, super emotional.

Brian Chavez from Friday Night Lights @ safety.
(The movie of FNL is okay, the book was 100x better. Really exposed how F'd up a lot of the football crazed TX high schools are.)

Never saw the movie, just a few episodes of the tv show. Too soap opera-y for me. Movie worth watching?

I did not see the tv show, but the movie is great from my point of view. Not 100% as the book, they did change some stuff to have it a bit more dramatic, but fine for me.
The book goes more in depth of the mindset and system behind the public view. Like how players get the feeling they are outside the justice system, since they are players and are protected.

Thank you guys, awesome work.

I will look at a way of rating the players for the trophies and not just using the stat leaders charts, more for the defensive players.

you all have a great draft and looking forward to next season.
