I was trying to raise my bid for Gary Speer (100874555) from the BobBoy Magpies today and I couldn`t do it as the server was down for at least 20 minutes (the moment I started to give raise the bid until the time when the auction was over). Even if unintentional for me this is kind of distortion of competition in the transfer market. In this case the BobBoy Magpies clearly got penalized by the server problems and lost potentially big money on this sell as buyers like me were not able to make a bid.
Is there a way to conduct this auction again? |

I'm not the Admin, but I've can't remember ever having an auction redone based on such events.
So likely the answer is 'no, sorry'. |

It seems to me the server is very busy everyday around 06H30, server time.

If these server issues are not resolvable, there should be some freeze implemented in the transfermarket at these times. Otherwise teams buying players, developing them and trying to sell them, might be heavily penalized as happened today.
Still wonder, is there any chance to redo the auction for fairness reasons? |

Transfer deadline was at 2020-06-25 07:41:49. Hopfenperlen placed the highest bid. Did Hopfenperle (team Hopfenperlen) have any server issues ? Did you ask Hopfenperle if redoing the auction would be fair ? |

I don`t want to make a fuss about it. Just wanted to know if there is a procedure for this cases when the server is down and we can`t participate in the transfer market. If not, my suggestion would be to freeze the transfer market in the one, two hours when there are regularly server issues.
I was annoyed about it yesterday, but today its history. Have a great day guys. |

Basically the server makes database backups at that time. This is why we do not run any other stuff like regular game sim at that time. And yes, ys of RZA result in quite some stuff to backup. You might face slower response times during the backup, which runs about one hour. Howver, it seems yesterday morning the server decided to run schedule a raid check at the same time, which is quite odd, but happened. I had no time to investigate this yet. I am sorry for this experience.
No, usually we do not rerun tranactions like player transfers. |

This is why it's best to decide your max bid and bid that straight away. It has two benefits:
- this won't happen, or forgetting the deadline etc - you won't get tempted in the heat of the moment to bid more than you wanted to  |
