Yes it has been confirmed several time there was no seed in the SC PO. The reason is the strength of each group is very different making it sometimes more difficult to be 12-3 in one than 15-0 in another.

It’s all about coding I guess. If people can convince Pete to do in a way he likes it and if Pete can find the time to do it, I don’t see why it would not be possible.
ELO does not reflect the true level of a team, yet in most of the cases it is a good indication. So personally I would use this indicator to define groups. Right now we have 39 of those and the 39 first in ELO ranking at rollover would be in 39 different groups and so on. Last edited on 2020-07-31 21:21:59 by Kanar |

Actually we can think about some way to average the SC record (based on average human ELO of each group). But it would be too complicated. And I do not think that the random seeding has a real bad impact. So it may stay as it is now.
