Besides having the Natural Leader trait for one or several defensive positions, I do not think we should have more players traits.

But for what it worth, 2 of the actual ones seems to be useless on some positions.

Ball managers: KR, TE and WR do not fumble currently.
Blocking Back: so far we have no evidence RB are involved in blocking (any proof/confirmation would be welcome)

How about using slot 4 and 5 differently? In NFL, we see some traits that goes beyond individual performances.

Slot 4 - Traits affecting the team or part of team.

Additionally, i have my most wished for item for Slot 1-3

Dual Threat aka Christian McCaffreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
Not affected by out of position penalty if playing within these sets:
(RB-WR), (DL-LB), (CB-SF)



just seconding this, I think the idea of having out of game traits for any position would be fun, like "personalities" loosely speaking. I also think all players should have one & also I think there should be "good" & "bad" traits, like say earlier in the thread someone mentioned having "diva players" or maybe players who would give you a hard time negotiating contracts like a player would only have 3 tries instead of the usual 5. Or someone who is a dirty player who will randomly incur small fines for illegal plays during games but will have a 7% chance for a fumble or sack. I dont know, just spitballing but I do think the idea is something worth looking into further

& to elaborate, the "bad" traits shouldn't be without upside of some sort. maybe like a double edged sword, depending on your team maybe you might feel well enough to roll the dice on a player who's got a "diva attitude" if he lets say makes everyone on his side of the ball get a boost to their morale & teamwork because his eclectic personality oozes off on the team.

also give teamwork boost traits. maybe have something for OLinemen like Captain of the Line which makes every starting OL get a 5% boost to Teamwork & Intelligence when the player is in the game.

I think it’s great that new ideas about how to improve the game are being thrown around, but is this really the most important/urgent improvement that needs to be made? Idk, just my two cents worth. Not trying to lessen the validity of any of the suggestions made here, just trying to prioritize.

I never said it is urgent. I just think it could be nice to see something new in the game (with a minimum coding effort).

I see that. However, there are some things currently in the To Do list with a high urgency that probably wouldn’t be that difficult to code (without knowledge of coding I’m just taking a guess at that). It would be nice to see those things done first, is all I’m saying.
