DL class - Grade: A-
Defensive positions are very difficult to analyze as we could reassign players to a new role. Focusing only on the actual positions I would grade the DL class as A-. There are physical monsters and except for one guy everybody has 49+ on speed or strength. The major drawbacks are talent, age and TW which limits the amount of good players to choose. LB class - Grade: A-
I think that this position is a good meter of the draft as a whole. We are used to see lots of great LB on the board and despite having some of the best overall players the average level is a bit lower this time. The class is lacking on talent, traits and somewhat at physicals too. The only thing that keeps this class with an A is the high inteligence as almost everybody is 49+. But I would expect more. CB class - Grade: A-
Here we see an young and fast class that clearly lacks on talent. The great number of traits helps to keep it on the A grade. Just a few guys that are worth the shot. Highlight: Lankesh Mehta Last edited on 2020-11-17 19:10:46 by linkleo911 |

The best overall players are almost always designated as LBs on the draft, in every draft I can recall. It's just how the game seems to work for some reason.

SF class - Grade: C+
Finishing my view over the positions of the draft with the worst one. The major problem here is the absolutely lack of inteligence that is an essential atribute for a good SF. If this was not enough, we also observe that speed - another important ability - is a bit far from what we would like to see for this task. And there is also a lack of traits. With so many problems in the class the only one with fairly good abilities looks like a real gem. Despite him, I would stay away from SF until 3rd round. I agree with Choad that the draft class this year looks like an exceptionally weak one.
That said, the top of the board is still filled with more than decent talents. I hope I will be able to pick up a nice player for the future at pos 17. And Young Bull and What's His Name Noppachorn in round 2 and 3 Last edited on 2020-11-17 19:55:04 by Alexx |

Draft Review Dragons 2
A very short write up only. This draft class belongs to Defense and to LBs in particular. There are two physical freaks with 50/47 (LB Vanagas) and 46/49 (LB Congo) at the top of the board. G Fitzgerald however will be one to watch as well as he has top 10% physicals as well as 50 INT and three traits. A true defensive captain in the making. I would think he could be a roaming safety like Jamal Adams is in the NFL. For QB there are no good options for the 1st round. There are two potentials with high upside but it's more a late round 2 pick in my opinion. There is nothing at O line as Teamwork across the board is disappointingly low and more so for O liners. Stay away from this position group....yuk! That is it for a very very quick look at Dragons 2 draft! |

That's why I have wrote "Dragons 1" on the topic title. I think I should make it clear next season when writing those lines again. And thanks for the acknowledgement! I decided to help the community a bit more this season as I have some time to spend now. But I do not think it is going to be a very regular thing. |
