2nd pick was 19 year old QB with 50 int and no reds, so a period in training and maybe he will be ready

3rd pick was a 20 year old WR with track star so he can do some laps and we will see at end of season.

All will have a place (although the WR may switch to SF) as due to my inactivity for a while I missed the HR deadline and so lost half of my squad!

Time for my predictions.

We have 8 bot teams currently and so this makes some divisions easier than others (yes I am looking at the Aliens), so using the League rankings at start of the season, here goes....

1 - 1028 - Leverkusen Leopards - AC South.
After their excursion to the Elite leagues the Leopards are back and are the hot favourite to take the championship trophy. Jack6's team is always ready for a fight and will prove a tough nut to crack.

=2 - 1013 - Berinsfield Hornets - NC East
Ranked joint 2nd with the Aliens in the ELO chart. As this is my team I know we are ranked higher than the actual team currently is. I think a 2nd place in the NC East to the Bruisers will happen this time.

=2 - 1013 - Torchwood Aliens - AC East
The Aliens play 6 bot teams in their division and so will stack up the stats accordingly. Will they make an effort to reach the Elite league this season or will they bottle it again ?

4 - 986 - Paxtang Black Panthers - NC South
Black Panthers are becoming the NC bottlers to rival the Aliens in the AC. It has been 5 season since they were last in the elite league and the fans are getting restless. This should be the season they reach the promised land......maybe.

5 - 977 - Burnaby Bruisers - NC East
Unlucky to be in the same division as the Hornets and they have struggled to beat them when it counts. This will be the Bruisers season to reach the elite league, it's been 8 seasons now and they due a return.

6 - 867 - Space Kraken - NC West
The mighty Kraken have returned and they will have a tough time in a difficult division. Rotties and KAFakofers have shown to be capable teams and will need all the skills and experience to progress.

7 - 863 - Midnight Marauders - NC North
The Marauders are becoming a major force in the Monarchs league and maybe the gods will smile on them in the playoffs. The Marauders will win the NC North division again and then pray.

8 - 839 - Poznan Knights - AC North
A great effort last season saw the Knights become a team others will want to avoid. The Saints will give the Polish team a run for the divisional title, but I think the Knights have enough talent to win the division.

9 - 738 - Florida Gators - AC North
The rebuild begins as gatorfan1 keeps his job as manager and has begun the buying of players needed to compete. I think a big box of name tags will be needed as they see a lot of new faces at the club.

10 - 721 - Letaidans - AC West
The surprise team from last season and will be a team to steer clear of in the playoffs. They will give the Leopards a test as they will probably meet in the conference final,

11 - 716 - MK Saints - AC North
The dark horse of the league and one to keep an eye on. They were 2nd to the Knights by only 2 wins and beat the Aliens in the playoffs. I think they could go further this season.

12 - 714 - Osler Rottties - NC West
The team to give the Space Kraken a severe test as they look to improve on last seasons 10 wins and a close loss to the Hornets in the playoffs. Another team with potential to cause an upset, be wary of the Rotties.

13 - 704 - DA Raiders - AC South
Unlucky team. Unlucky to get 12 wins and still finish behind the Bradford Bulls in the division. Unlucky to get the Knights in the playoffs and lose in a very tight match. This season I think they can be lucky.

14 - 696 - SARMIS - NC North
The Romanian team that just doesn't quite make it. A change of style maybe in order or maybe some new blood, who knows. A 2nd place in the NC North again and maybe a playoff spot beckons.

15 - 625 - KAFakofers - NC West
A respectable 8-8 last season will be something they can improve on. A tough division with the Kraken and Rotties will prove difficult, but with the sun shining and the wind in the right direction, maybe a trip to the playoffs.

16- 616 - Birneys Weekenders - NC North
6 wins for them last season and I feel we could see a 8-8 season. They still have some work to do in a tough division, but some work during the week might see some results.

17 - 611 - Rheydter Royal Roosters - NC South
Another 8-8 team from last season and should improve on that with a new team and a bot team to play against. A 2nd place behind the Black Panthers will be all they can manage as the playoffs still look to far for them.

18 - 608 - Jinonice Lions - AC South
The Lions wave goodbye to the Bradford Bulls and see the Leopards join the division. A 8-8 season will be a good result for them.

19 - 581 - Roll Badge 2.0 - AC West
The runner-up from Monarchs 2 and could end up 2nd in the AC West. A battle with the Meerkats to see who finishes behind the Letaidans

20 - 557 - Hemet Hooligans - AC North
A tough time for the Hooligans last season and I don't see much different this season. A battle with the Gators for 3rd spot and avoid a relegation game again.

21 - 538 - RanchBoards - NC East
6 wins in a tough division was a very good performance and maybe a 8-8 finish this season. A team with steady improvements could see them become a force in the league.

22 - 531 - Tecmo Oilers - NC West
The 4th team in the NC West could see them fight for relegation, but I think 5-6 wins this season will be enough to avoid that. There maybe some light at the end of the tunnel for the Oilers, but not yet.

23 - 506 - Whatever - NC South
The Monarchs 2 champion get the Black Panthers and Royal Roosters as divisional mates, not sure that was a reward or not. I hope they continue to play in what will be a very tough season.

24 - 495 - Southern Meerkats - AC West
The Australian team will be in a fight with Roll Badge 2.0 for 2nd spot in the division. A season for stadium building, watching and trying to learn what it takes to win.

A great write up and thanks for doing this. As I have mentioned due to my inactivity I lost half of my squad including the new guys promoted from the YA. I have had to buy on the TM and will need to build up players during this season.
Some of them were just hired to fill in the gaps. They were not necessarily players I would normally have chosen, although one or two are decent. Time (and other coaches bidding against me) did not allow me trhe luxury of looking for star players. I needed bums on seats - or feet on the field. So this season will be a semi-rebuild.
Having a division full of bots will definitely get me to the playoffs. How far we can go depends on how well I can rebuild the team. It is tough to do in one season because I am already behind the curve. Anyway this is the team I have got and I will work with it. I dislike going to the TM as I prefer to build up my own squad. So let's see how this goes. We will give our best!

Glad to be back in D1. My team was obviously not ready for Elite but I enjoyed the top draft pick slots. Being back in my old division with my old rivals and a new/retro-y rival will be fun. Looking forward to a competitive playoffs!

Well quite pleased to get this first win under our belts. It was especially pleasing to get revenge for our playoff loss to the Saints least season.

I was a bit concerned going in because of all the new guys that we have (about 50% of the squad) but they all played admirably. Our defence was red hot pulling 5 INTs. Guys began to gel and our Team Chemistry improved.

Not getting too excited yet because after the Osler Rotties we have Poznan Knights and Florida Gators. These games should give us a measure of where we are in terms of strength and how competitive we are likely to be this season.

My team struggled with the change of QB and playbook, not sure he is ready for scoot and shoot yet, but give him time. I will need to look at my 3rd downs, really struggled to get any, maybe my instructions are not getting through, anyway a new batch of playbooks with bigger writing will be arriving soon.
