Week 14 is done! 3 games left.
Well.... It's been an interesting couple days here. I really should have gone to visit Deventer! I feel the Devils would have been better countrymates than what we in the U.S. just subjected the world to. So if you haven't checked out the Blowing Smoke section in the Dragons forum, Jonny and Roel/Cheesehead are doing some great work over there! Looks like DC has quite the grip on the 1 spot and all that's left is the seeding for the NC. The AC is still a big pile of everything. 10 teams separated by 2 games with 3 left. It'll be wild until the final week. Rome/Cats/Bridges look good. The rest is up for grabs. 1. (12-1) Salt City Pirates (1) Malones/Pirates last game of the season will likely determine the Monarchs winner. Until that result, I expect them to hold on to this ranking. Important games left: Malones, Bulls. 2. (12-1) DC Washingtonians (2) Well, DC might be a shitshow at the moment but ptdoc's squad is anything but. A close win over the Malones has them in line for a week one bye. Important games left: Gladiators, Dragons 3. (9-4) Willemstad Bridges (4) A surprise loss to Leeds still has the Bridges in first, but tied with four other teams. Saturday's game against Rome could determine the Thunder champ. Important games left: Rome, Hounds 4. (11-2) San Diego Blitz (6) The Blitz had an impressive week, knocking off the Elephants and the Bobbers. They'll need another Bobber loss if they want to move up a spot. But would they rather play the Runners or Malones? Important games left: Elephants 5. (11-2) Home Malones (5) Malones couldn't finish the upset of DC, and have a difficult finish to the season, but they proved to be a difficult out and still can get a bye week if they win out. Important games left: Pirates, Gladiators, Runners 6. (11-2) Chelt Nam Bobbers (3) "will they drop 1 while DC and the Pirates don't?" There's the one, currently sitting in the 3 spot with the Runners looming. They dominated the Eagles damaging their bid to win Fire and make the AC playoffs. Important games left: 7. (9-4) Hell Hounds (9) "I never have any idea what the Hounds will do." Hounds might have the toughest schedule left other than the Malones. They have a 1 game lead on the Lions, so I'm really hoping the last game of the season decides this division as well. Important games left: Bulls, Bridges, Lions 8. (8-5) Social Distance Runners (11) "The Runners need to beat the Elephants Tuesday" Mission accomplished. They are now in the driver's seat, and with the Elephants having more challenging games ahead, this race might be over. Important games left: Malones 9. (9-4) TigerCats (10) TiCats get a big win against Rome to get back in the catbird seat with the Eagles coming to town Saturday. A final game against the surging Bonecrushers still looms. Important games left: Eagles, BoneCrushers 10. (9-4) Rome Centurions (7) Rome is nearly a lock for the postseason, big question is can they beat the Bridges again and steal away the division championship? Important games left: Bridges 11. (8-5) Diorite Lions (8) The Lions dropped into second place, but still hold the PD lead on the other 5 loss teams. It would be an exciting finish if these teams played eachother for the Claymore champ, then played again in the playoffs. Important games left: Hounds 12. (9-4) Comeback Kids (15) "They need to right the ship or they could find themselves headed back to D1." They demolished the Magpies retaking the lead in Admirals, but long break between logins has people concerned. Important games left: Packers, Magpies 13. (8-5) BobBoy Magpies (13) They've lost 3 of their last 4. Not a streak you'd like heading into the postseason, which they'll be missing if they don't pick up at least 2 of their next 3 including a rematch against the Kids. Important games left: Kids, Packers 14. (8-5) Lyon Eagles (14) "this part of schedule will decide if they deserve it." They've also lost 3 of their last 4 and are facing the Ticats Saturday. If that doesn't go well, they could face relegation against the Bonecrushers Tuesday. Important games left: Bonecrushers, TiCatss 15. (7-6) Dumbarajko Elephants (12) "The gauntlet starts this week." And it didn't start well." It continued in that same fashion this week. The Elephans are losing their excitement after 4 straight losses has the Elephants all but eliminated. They need a lot of help and likely need to win out to make the postseason. On top of this, the Terriers are surging and have closed the gap to 2 games and looking to make it 1 after they play Saturday. Important games left: Blitz, Packers, Terriers 16. (7-6) Green Mark Packers (16) "They'll need 2 of the 3 difficult games left if they want to reach the postseason." The Kids were ready for this one. Packers will need some help to pass up 3 teams to grab the 6 spot. Important games left: Magpies, Elephants 17. (7-6) Bonecrushers (17) Eagles and Ticats finish the season. A surprise loss to Roma has the BoneDomers playing a little catchup but they opportunities to stick around in elite next season. Important games left: Eagles, TiCats 18. (6-7) Black Dragons (18) "Winning out is one of them." The Dragons did not accomplish this and will be staying home for the playoffs. They'll take a rest and make their first trip to D1 since Elite has existed. 19. (6-7) Bradford Bulls (19) 4 Losses in a row has ended the Bulls impressive early season run. They'll join the Dragons heading back to D1. With their inexpensive roster and this success, this team should be back a season from now. 20. (5-8) Växjö Gladiators AFC (20) The Gladiators couldn't topple the Runners or DC and that seals their fate heading back to D1. A solid run considering the division difficulty. 21. (5-8) BU Terriers (21) "I don't see how they make up 5 games with 7 left to play." Winning 2 while the Elephants lose 2 is a great start. Now it's 3 games with 5 to play." I guess I'll just keep adding to this. Everything is happening to keep the Terriers in the running. They have a soft schedule but they'll need to beat the Elephants to catch them. 22. (5-8) Werewolves (22) "2 more wins should lock up a ticket to try again in Elite." They got 1, but the Gardians keep up the pressure by winning both games this week. These teams play eachother to end the season. Will it be to see who stays and who goes? 23. (4-9) People's Republic of Yorkshire (23) They get another shot to play spoiler against the Lions and Magpies. Otherwise they are undefeated in supercup and will look to make some noise there. 24. (5-8) AS Roma Wolves (24) 4 wins in a row have the Wolves coming in hot, unfortunately it's too late to make a meaningful run. Love the never say die attitude though. 25. (4-9) Gardians (29) "The recent Werewolves streak has them 2 games out of a return to Elite." The Gardians follow it with a streak of their own and jump right back in the race. 26. (2-11) Leeds Celtics (30) Leeds gets the second win of the season against the defending champions! Big morale booster for when they come back in season 43. 27. (4-9) GLADIATORI ROMA (25) A good win against the Bonecrushers proves this team can hang, they just need some consistancy. 28. (3-10) Deflators (26) "They are taking that spoiler title and running away with it after this win." They could decide the Thunder champ after facing the Bridges and Rome to end the season. 29. (2-11) Catalunya 1714 (27) "Hard to imagine 2-9 is the 7th pick" But 2-11 is now the 4th pick. But they'll only get to choose if they log in. 30. (1-12) LoneStar Armadillos (28) The likely recipient of the 3 pick, hopefully they get a nice regrouping season in D1 and head on back in 43. 31. (1-12) 16_horsepower (31) Let's hope there's at least 2 studs in the draft. 32. (0-13) Valiant Pinoys (32) You only get Filipino facts if you log in to read them! Good luck everyone. I'm excited for the last week of the season with some many meaningful/clinching games at once. Hopefully we have a few at risk teams log in soon. small correction about my final three matches: Gladiators, Dragons and Pinoys (though I have the CoC game against the Gladiators today)
Wednesday had me contemplating if I need to change my team name but it was the non-Washingtonians that ran amok in DC, and not the actions of the good citizens of our nation's capital |

Yeah, when the country sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. And some, I assume, are good people. |

Elephants are in terrible shape, Elephants need to find them selves once again. And when they find them they need luck to go along with them. Excitement for winnig streak gone, but excitement for marvelous games still here even they have been losses. Elephants are gonna fight till the end If they don't make it to survive, hell they gonna try it and leave some skeletons behind Last edited on 2021-01-08 14:31:36 by Dumbarajko |

No more Gladiators this season in the league. It's the Celtics instead. Only two wins but one against the reigning champion. |

You'd think I was drinking when I filled out this portion! Also, my editor had already gone to sleep. I blame him! Last edited on 2021-01-08 17:08:08 by Rufio13 |

Do we have the same editors ? Probably not as I don't see any typing errors in your rankings. I hope that my typing errors are down to less than 10.
We have several highlights this week. Let's check them out : Away Record Power Ranking Result Home Record Power Ranking 16_horsepower 1-12 31 vs. San Diego Blitz 11-2 4 Sunshine in San Diego. And virtually Californians can assemble. 144300 Blitz fans are expented in the Palace for another touchdown festival by Steve's team. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : None except if the Bobbers lose. AS Roma Wolves 5-8 24 vs. Comeback Kids 9-4 12 After winning 41-21 in their match ten days ago, the Wolves could also win on the Killer Field, if Mark does not show up to change his playbook. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : If the Packers beat the Magpies, a win of Roma could still keep them with the theoretical possibility of remaining in Elite as they will move to a two win difference with two matches to go. The Kids need the win to stay ahead of the Magpies for sure and to conitunue to ensure their playoff place. Black Dragons 6-7 18 vs. DC Washingtonians 12-1 2 Washington welcomes more tourists this Saturday wearing the fan outfits of the Black Dragons. They will be welcomed and applauded by the home corwd of the Rock Creek Park as there is lot of appreciation for angus and his extraordinary run of always having made Elite. They will also be happy to see their team scoring their 13th win of the season. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : If DC wins, they keep first their conference lead. If they lose, they could drop to third or even fourth position. Bradford Bulls 6-7 19 vs. Hell Hounds 9-4 7 If everyone always knew in advance what the Hounds will do, it would be so much less fun to watch matches in the Hell's Armpit. This match should amplify the fun for the homecrowd. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : Hells need to win to keep their hand on the division title. A loss of the Kids could move them into 3rd position in the conference. Catalunya 1714 2-11 29 vs. Salt City Pirates 12-1 1 The German region of Lower Saxony is celebrating their team inside the LünePark and count on another clear win for the 1st of the Power Ranking. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : If the Pirates lose they would probably move from 2nd to 5th of the conference. Diorite Lions 8-5 11 vs. Peoples Republic of Yorkshire 4-9 23 The White Rose Arena will be full of people hoping for a 5th season win. This might not happen though as the Lions badly need this win as there would be a possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : A win keeps the Lions on the raod to the playoffs, keeping their advantage for the 6th place. A loss and they would probably fall out of that picture. Dumbarajko Elephants 7-6 15 vs. BU Terriers 5-8 21 One of our HIGHLIGHTs OF THE DAY with a direct effect on playoffs spots or relegation : If the Elephants can win on the Nickerson field, repeating their first win against Boston earlier this season, they will avoid relegation for sure and send the Terriers to Galaxy 1. Plus they might still have an outside shot to make the playoffs. If the Terriers win, all Servia will be fearing to lose their presence in Elite next season. Most important match for both this season ! And, against my habits I will put my little money on the terriers. But I won't put much of it. Gardians 4-9 25 vs. BoneCrushers 7-6 17 Had you asked me some weeks ago if i was tuning in to watch this match, I probably would have replied with a question. Why ? Today is different. Why ? Because of the possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation. If the Bobbers win their match against the Werewolves, the Gardians could pull even in wins with the Italians to have a shot in staying in Elite. This would also mean the end of all hopes for the Crushers to stay and to make the relegation. A win might move them to second place in their division and closer to a possible late playoff qualification. GLADIATORI ROMA 4-9 27 vs. Valiant Pinoys 0-13 32 With DC and the Centurions as last two opponents this is the one last chance for the Pinoys to score a win. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : None Green Mark Packers 7-6 16 vs. BobBoy Magpies 8-5 13 Another HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY ! Similar to the Galaxy highlight match, this is the most important match for both teams all season because of the possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : Magpies win and they drop the Wolves back to Admirals 1 and extend their lead on the Packers to 2 wins with 2 matches to go. Packers win and they move ahead of the Magpies for the second place in their division and an outside shot to make the playoffs. Leeds Celtics 2-11 26 vs. Deflators 3-10 28 The big highlight in the Flat Ball field will be happening outside the arena where IMGregory ivites for a big fan BBQ with beer, cheerleaders and music for all. The two teams will join after the match. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : none. LoneStar Armadillos 1-12 30 vs. Social Distance Runners 8-5 8 The Runner fans in the engish Garden have neve seen a Dillo in their lifetime. In other words, we are expecting a huge virtual crowd to see the Texan team in their first visit. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : If the Runners win , as we can all expect, there will be no effect whatsoever. If they lose, their win against the Elephants might have been for nothing as this would put their playoff plans in risk once again. Lyon Eagles 8-5 14 vs. TigerCats 9-4 9 Our RZA MATCH OF THE DAY is a true HIGHLIGHT as well. The possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation is extemely relevant for both and we expect the Tiger Cage to be full of excited fans. Lyon needs to win to stay ahead of the Crushers to avoid relegation and increase their odds to make the 6th place in the conference and to pull even with the TiCats in wins. A TiCats win will secure the division titale and hence the playoff spot as well as being sure to have avoided relegation for sure. Rome Centurions 9-4 10 vs. Willemstad Bridges 9-4 3 This next HIGHLIGHT MATCH OF THE DAY is the finale for the Thunder Division title. So you may guess the possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : The winner is likely to win the division. The losing team has to fight to stay inside the playoff ranks. At the end it might well be that both teams will make the playoffs. As good as I am with bets, I believe, Tullo might be happy with my prediction here. Växjö Gladiators AFC 5-8 20 vs. Home Malones 11-2 5 This match will probably seal the losing season of a team that got one of the toughest schedules in the league and who could have made the playoffs in many other divisions. As much as I respect the Gladiators, I don't see them winning though at Home Malone. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : The Malones need to win in order to keep their hopes alive for a possibvle division title in case they will be able to beat the Pirates in the last match of the season and the Runners before on Tuesday. Werewolves 5-8 22 vs. Chelt Nam Bobbers 11-2 6 It looks as if the Werewolves will understand why the Bobbers arena is named the Green Inferno. Jonnys team will do more than just blow smoke. Possible effect on playoffs spots or relegation : a Werewolves win together with a loss of the Gardians will secure the Italian teams place in Elite for next season. More likely the Bobbers will win and preserve their 3rd place in the conference. A loss would put them back to fourth. If they prefer to meet the Runners, whom they have beaten in a friendly match today, they will win this home match. So here you have it. And if you know I am wrong about something, please take the time and write about it. I love a good challenge and, as a reward, my team will challenge yours for a friendly match next Friday. |

2 losses by 3 1 loss by 4 1 win by 4 Luck here I am, just take a look at me Elite looks like I am gone with a hurricane. Started with a wind in my favor but finished as much as bad as someone can. At least still far away from predicted 3 wins |
