You kinda ruined it, to be honest....you could've had a 1+ season developmental phase, where you could've pumped the points into a really good 'base shell', without paying his salary. Now, you gave an average level player a franchise contract instead. I'd say you hindered his development about 3 seasons or so, while you are also going to overpay for him as well....after you overpaid like 4x when you bought him SPECIFICALLY because he could be stashed into YA for that timeframe I mentioned previously. Always be patient with quality players like this. The XP grows faster in the academy than during games. It is the same for the skills development. And during this time, you can give the snaps to another guy. Also investing your HC bonus points is no longer an option.
