Alvin Canada

So I just drafted this guy. He was drafted as KR, but I am thinking RB or WR.

19yo
speed=50
strength=28.3
int=41.3
tw=49.3
car 25.5
vis 23.7
Cat 10

Two traits
long carry(would think about defense but would be wasted trait)
track star so his speed is maximum possible.

A project for sure but i am building for future. What should I do?

Build his STR and see where he caps. I would make him a RB unless his strength is very low. If his strength is very low, then a WR.

Fully agree on RB suggestion.
Keep an eye on Positioning too, which is the 2nd most important stat for offensive players like WR and RB.

To train him as a WR you have to work on catching which is now at 10 and it will take a couple of full training seasons to reach an acceptable 25+

What is his other stats?

Low speed alone doesn't make a DL guy.

If he is strong than he could be good at OL, DL, P, K, maybe even TE. I'd say it should be fine for QB as well, but the game engine seems to put slow QBs under more pressure for some unexplained reason.

Well if he's slower, he doesn't avoid pressure as fast?

It makes sense in my head.

Maybe in your head, but not in real life. Take a look at the slower QBs in the league (like -G.O.A.T-). They don't get sacked more or throw more picks.

Speed has nothing to do with pressure. If a QB is sitting in the pocket he is going to be pressured the same regardless. Its more about the O-Line and the QBs poise. QBs only utilize speed if they are doing a scramble (at which point they have already been pressured.

This isn't real life.

Your argument is invalid.

Got this guy in the draft, 20 y/o Manuel Contreras, a 3 1/2* rated LB, however I'm trying to find if it's best for me to plug him into the MLB or OLB spot. Normally I'd put my best/smartest guy at MLB, but I want to make use of his pass rush ability since he does possess the Fearsome trait.
50 INT
50 SPD (plus Track Star trait)
42.1 STR (no cap)
31.7 VIS
27.6 TACK
25.7 POS
39.5 TW (just in case it's useful for something)
