I'd been thinking of making this guy a step-slow corner as he came through the YA ... then I went on a bit of a spending spree on CB-types ... and then he hit a truly crazy xp level for his age ...

Kristopher Shannon
41.1 (r) str / 47.5 (r) spd / 22.1 agi
21.3 pos / 20.8 vis / 25.6 tack ... 12.3 - 10.3 on the rest
41.4 (not a QB) int / 35 (also not a great) tw
4.0* talent / 4.5* (at 21 .. omg) xp

Soo .. 41/47 ... that can sit for 5+ seasons and still be ahead of the xp-curve. Thoughts?

I would probably put him safety with the possibility of being promoted to corner or OLB one day. Honestly though it doesn't matter if he is going to sit as they all use the same skills so don't need to pigeon hole him.

I have a YA, 50 TMWK, 45 + INT, STR, SPD.

I was planning to make him a monster MLB, but now I am thinking about QB.

Thoughts ? (beside being very lucky to have such a YA prospect)

What do you mean by 45+ ?

He shouldn't be a QB. If the 45+ intelligence is near to 50 then maybe MLB. Depend how much you value the position as down the line you might want higher talent if you regard it as a premium position.

If the 45+ strength is near 50 then maybe DL in fact I would probably be leaning that way regardless seeing as TW is his best asset.

Depends on his current skills. He could make a nice CB if he has more defensive skills (Tackling, Catching). But he could also make a nice QB.

Is it possible to have a YA pick over 50?

If it means with skills over 50, I really doubt it, since 1) 50 is supposed to be the higher skill level possible and 2) YA picks are meant to stay in the Academy fo some time to développement thé aforementionned skills

Sometimes you will pull a youth player with something like 50.6 Speed. But it is pretty rare, and never over 51.

Not enough talent for a QB

I would make him a CB/OLB/MLB/SF - they all need identical skills (witth exception of no catching on a safety but you can leave catching for now anyway) so train him Tack, Vis, Pos, Agility and play him there

I missed that he only had 2 talent. I'd agree either a defender or TE would be good. TEs need so many skills that they seldom cap out anyhow, so lower talent doesn't hurt, and the intelligence will help at TE more than a FB. Probably defender is better, but depends on overall need and roster pipeline outlook.
