what would you do with this guy ...
bear in mind I'm a new team so pre-draft he is my best player physically. He is aged 20 so plenty of time to develop. Strength 40.8 (red capped) Speed 35.6 (no cap with 20 scout) Intel 37 TW 32 Block 13.6 Catch 11.8 Tack 11.8 Carry 11.8 Foot 12.3 Pos 10.3 Vision 10.4 Too strong for secondary. Not clever enough for LB At DL now but wondering if a player faster than he is strong - should be at LOS. Not 100% how useful speed is - manual says DE is equiv of OT and you wouldn't have this kind of player at OT OL - Not suitable really FB/TE - Would be good here but probably wasted. HB - Maybe. I want to draft at least 1 maybe 2 of these though so he would be marginalised. Also I have an number of dudes whose highest skill is carrying. I'd keep him at DE for now, and put 70%+ of his training into Speed and see where he ends up. If you train Vision instead of Tackling for now, that will allow you to switch him to RB if his Speed keeps going up.
However, I have a 40+/40+ DE and he's great. Leads my team in sacks and tackles this season. (I think he'd make a terrific SS, but that position does not have the impact that a DL or RB has at this time in the game.) Last edited on 2012-04-14 07:47:27 by Lee1950 |

I've got him on 90% speed and 10% vision at the moment for the reasons you say - vision is a transferrable skill.
Pretty much all my roster is on that at the moment 90% physical and 10% vision but I'm investing in the Weight Room which gives a tackling and blocking bonus to training so trying to be a bit more decisive about positions. |

Still stuck with this dude ... speed is now uncapped at 37.8 so will be at least 42.8 maybe higher and position change deadline is tuesday.
Might go with Safety and if I end up not drafting a RB then switch him there and take the penalty. |

Strong SF could be a good position, but I would play him at OLB. 37 INT is for me enough for an OLB.
