The Stone Wall special trait, what positions is that considered to work well with? Obviously Offensive Linemen, but do any other positions find it as useful? Thank you.

Under Manual/Team/Player traits
you can find which position can benefit of a trait.
In particular Stone Wall is only for OLs

Hello everyone, I guess this is the thread where I will dump all my questions in.

First, training. Should I just keep it on "main skill" for everyone? What percentage should I use? Is high percentage "high risk high reward" kinda thing? And finally, it seems obvious but I just want to clarify, what do the four attributes under "physical conditioning" do for each position? It sounds like every position can use all four.

Which facilities should I build first? Which facilities should I stay away from?

If I have more questions (and I'm 100% sure I will) I'll be sure to come back with more. Any general tips for a n00b's first season are appreciative or link me some helpful threads! Thanks everyone, excited for my first go, I fully expect to win maybe 3 games

Hi!
Welcome in the game!
You can have a look at jack6 guide. It is quite long but follow it and you will have a great team. You will find there all the info you want on the training and much more.

Jack6’s guide

I recommand you to start buying players and coaches only once your stadium is fully built. A full stadium can give you up to 9 millions during league home games. The faster you build the stadium, the faster you will get super rich.
For your two first seasons, the mediacenter pledging is free which leads to a big gain over the season. Make sure you have 50 millions saved at the beginning of each seasons after, overwise you will miss some easy money.
Finally the off season can be quite long when you do not participate to the playoffs. That’s annoying but this is the perfect moment to work on your playbook, try it during friendlies and prepare the season coming.
Cheers
Cyril

Welcome Matt! I started playing RZA about a year ago, but I too will try to answer questions in the future. Glad you're here though. Out of curiosity, how did you hear about Red Zone Action?

Definitely work on your stadium first , before you invest into facilities. I made an early mistake of hiring several coaches, which was too expensive.

Did I say that you should definitely work on your stadium first?

A HC-ONLY-approach is a waste of money, since it does not help with training.
So either go HC plus a few smaller ACs to shift all players to those positions (which I don't recommand), or wait until the Stadium is big enough to make a full coach appoach sustainable and then get those you want.

Keep in mind you usually need 1 mio (low CP approach) up to 3 mio (high CP approach) per u p d a t e for coaches.

So you need that kind of money, plus more to build up the money for media center payments, once the free phase is over.

I recommand to get an expirienced manager as mentor.

I recommend:
1. Stay away from the Transfer Market. It will cost you money that you don't have!
2. Sign a Youth Academy player at every opportunity. They are free and you get extra training points for them. If they turn out to be not so good you can fire them. Also, if you get desperate for players they can be moved up to your senior team - but avoid doing this unless you need to. Over time you can build up strong players from here.
3. Change your G and KR into other positions. There is no penalty for playing any player as G or KR. So you might as well use them where they are needed.

I apologise if this has been discussed to exhaustion, and that I should have done a more thorough search before bringing up this quick question:

In the manual, under Glossary - - > Intelligence here

Intelligence
"Intelligence helps in making right, or even wrong decisions on the field. Some positions will benefit more from it, others less. The brains of both offense and defense are the leaders of their group, and who does not like to have an intelligent leader?

There is a thing we call "line intelligence". It is there both for OL and DL. It helps with communication inside the position group as example, if the average intelligence of that group is higher."

So my quick question is if intelligence is still a factor (say as much as it is for OL) for specifically defensive lineman. I was not taking intelligence into account for my D line guys, and now I feel I should have. Thanks in advance for your insight.
