Cool and insightful interview....

But I'd be lying if I said after the Wes Welker answer I didnt immediately disagree or hate every answer for every question just on principal. Most overrated player in all sport.

lol .... don't be hating on Solana_Steve, he showed what a caring guy he is by having some kind words for Michael Crabtree

btw .... do priests still carry swords ? I thought all that kind of thing stopped after the Spanish Inquisition.

final question .... paradise ... where actually is it, can you post the GPS co-ordinates ? and have you regained it yet ? or is that dependent upon recruiting a few more men of the cloth wielding medieval weapons

wow ... never realised that there were so many G*I haters in these Forums ... in future, I'll have to wear my bullet-proof jacket when I leave the house at night

There were many many reasons for the questions (G*I questions or otherwise) :-
(a) Steve has won all the trophies there is to win in G*I .... not asking him about G*I would be a bit like interviewing Usain Bolt and not mentioning Sprinting.
(b) The questions entered my head at the time, in general I was reasonably happy with them, so I went with them.
(c) In some ways I quite like G*I ... it infuriates me and amuses me in equal measure.

I've been playing G*I for a couple seasons, I'm about ready to give it up though, RZA is SO much cooler and better!!!!

lol ....I nearly hit the "report abuse" button for this one. How can a game be cool if it's not got Flag-collecting,Cheerleaders,Dark Wing and ....last but not least ..... Special Teams CornerBacks

Very Nice Indeed! Are you going to start a new thread for each coach corner or use the same thread? How often?

The way I see Coaches Corner is this ...........

I'm going to do one more interview only. The un-named interviewee has graciously agreed to it, therefore this is in progress and will happen quite soon.
After that, it will be down to other Managers to take things forward, for several reasons :-

(a) I will soon run out of original questions/themes for the interviews. I don't want to regurgitate the same old stuff time after time
(b) I'm planning on spending a lot less time here at RZA. I've got an online soccer team that probably gets promoted this year, it needs work to survive in the top division next year.
Also, I've got a good chance of promotion over in G*I, therefore I need to work hard with my team to achieve that.
So I'm planning on running my RZA team on 'autopilot' and spending more time elsewhere. But no 'fire sale' of Draftees. Yet !

Great interview! Looking forward to the second one. I wasn't as annoyed as others about the G*I questions. It was the first american football sim that I enjoyed playing, although I barely spend time on my team anymore. I spend most of my time here now.

I think the next question is, who will step up to run a few interviews after the next one? It would be a shame to let this die off...

It's not a matter of hating G*I, but if you never played it or intend to, it is just not interesting at all. Great interview though regardless of the G*I questions, I'll look forward to the next ones.

You watch The Newsroom?

btw I'm not to be mocked right now... I had an insufferable last week to the season and I'm liable to go all Jerry McGuire/Tom Cruise on Oprah at a moments notice.

Actually, that was one of the hardest questions to answer for me. Since the kids came a long, the number of NFL games I get to watch has shrunk dramatically. I usually TiVo the UCLA Bruins game and watch that after the munchkins go to bed. But I rarely get to watch a whole NFL game - - maybe the 2nd half of a Monday night game or the Chargers if they have a good opponent.

So I started thinking, whose really that exceptional. Sure, I could have given an easy answer like Brees, Manning and -G.O.A.T-...but that's not really of much interest, everyone appreciates what they do.

Hell... then just say that Steve... I have no youngins but I understand where your coming from and I'm sure there are others here who can empathize with you. You just cant name drop Wes Welker and expect people not to get offended by that... atleast list him 3rd just to soften the blow.

Gotta say it... nothing made me more ecstatic than when your boy Wes dropped that pass in which David Tyrie woulda caught 4x over. It was the hand of Justice.

How about the person who gets interviewed selects the next player and does the interview?

Maybe they cant pick a player from their own game world though ie a claymore team cant interview another claymore team
