That's the whole point of me taking the 17 Y/O, otherwise I go with the 16 Y/O because you get an extra season of development plus extra experience. So he's worth less on the market, but has more potential worth to me. I'd prefer a 16 year old with 40+ TW though, so I went out and bought one last season. It's going to be great.

I'd take either the 16 year old or nothing. You only get 22 YA spots you can't afford not to be fussy

I wind up hitting the "fire" button a whole lot in there. I should probably look more keenly for high TW 16 year old players to increase the quality of prospects coming through.

On my roster I have 20 players I've drafted and 10 who have come through my YA. But if I exclusively look at the under 25's which is when my YA became mildly productive I've got only got 8 drafted players and all of my YA graduates remaining. In fact in some positions my YA players actually start ahead of my draftees.

I'll definitely try your tactics on youth academy recruiting; lately it was a lot of high teamwork players almost regardless of age (being 20 is a dealbreaker though), and it's been okay for some of my picks, but the best player to come out of my YA so far is going to be the very first guy I ever pulled, who I took in season nine when he was 16. Of course, I've been dumping bonus points into him, but still, without the stat dump, he wouldn't be too different in terms of stats now. I just think it's funny he can be named "Chance Stephens" and have the Japanese flag. Musings aside, what I've seen in my experience supports what you're saying.

Question about experience in YA :

- Do you guys approximatly know from how many snaps this is worth moving a guy to the senior team in order to make him gain more xp that in the YA ?

Example : I have a 19 yr old dude I know i wont boost with my youth points, cause I have better prospects.
If i promote him to my senior squad he might do around 20 plays per game. Will he earn more xp if he stays in my YA ?

thanks

My math might be a bit off, but I think it takes about 500,000 snaps to gain a half point of EXP.
