Eagles probably will be the team to watch for me next season. I'm interested in what new staff will bring to this franchise.
Any Eagles' fans here? What are you thinking about the near future of Philly team? |

It's interesting to me regardless of direction. Chip Kelly is an outstanding college football coach and the most interesting to me is will he build a potent NFL team or fail trying to adapt his principles to pro football reality. |

I may have to return to Lehigh University (the site of Eagles training camp) after a 5-year absence to see how well Kelly's scheme works on a pro level and get a close look at the players.
I know it's early, but in my opinion, this has the stench of Steve Spurrier's pro tenure all over it. I'm a pessimist when it comes to the Birds, but I hope that I'm wrong. |

Only blind optimistic fans would pick the Eagles as the one to watch next year. I reckon they're destined to be fighting for a top ten pick come 2014.

Philly fan here... always hopeful... but the realist in me means I'll be happy if they achieve 8-8.
Time to rebuild from the very ground up - the dream team failed. |

I watched them a few times last season and I seriously could not believe what I was seeing. They had ability but they had this fantastic ability of shooting themselves in the foot at just the time when it would hurt them the most

I neglected to mention that the Eagles moved training camp to Philly, so I may not go now. Camp will be at the Linc, which means that we fans probably won't be able to get within 20 feet of either the field or the players.

Who do "we" want at #4?
Personally, i hope its not G. Smith. The team has a lot of needs, so no need to reach for a certain position. How about a top OT, CB, DE/OLB? If the right offer comes our way, i hope we trade down. |

"With the fourth ppick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select...Lane Johnson, tackle from the University of Oklahoma."
I like the pick. The Eagles have needed help up front for at least two seasons. They still need help with the interior o-line, but this is a good start. |
