Thoughts on Eagles draft?
After just missing out on Ha Ha, i think they did very well. Filled a bunch of holes, and if they play well got much better on D. |

We definitely addressed what the team needed in terms of positions so that's good but only time will tell if the these young players perform as expected.
Did you see this? pft chip Chip seems to have very clear views on who he will draft. Last edited on 2014-05-11 17:57:15 by oneknee |

As for the Defense lets face they were pretty awful last year and I'm not sure a few good rookies will change that next season, on the flip-side the O should be even more explosive than last year.
For me we really need a stand out safety (bring back the Dawk!) and there's no sign of that happening. Last edited on 2014-05-11 18:02:23 by oneknee |

Im not the best to evaluate safeties, but it seems Earl Wolff showed some promise last season, but may be fragile. The biggest improvement on the D should of course come from the vets being more comfortable/familiar with the sceme. Lets hope all 3 fases can improve.

Why would they release Mike Vick, then pick up Fluke Sanchez in free agency. I think no matter how bad Sanchez, is people think he is a top notch QB.

If im not mistaken, Vick was a FA and wanted to start somewhere (dont know if he will in NYJ), and the Eagles needed a #2 QB with experience. I might have gone a different way than Sanchez myself, but couldnt give you a name with no red flags fitting the criteria. |

(Resurrecting old thread)
I know it was *only* Cleveland, but the Eagles actually looked quite decent last night. Wentz was solid, the receivers dropped fewer passes, Mathews ran well, and the Defense was excellent for most of the game. We might not be fighting for 1st pick after all.... would 8-8 be out of the question? |

Outside of next week vs the Bears, it might be hard to get another win before the Eagles play the Cowboys on Sunday Night football 10/30. After that, you may see a win at the Falcons on 11/13 and Cowboys on 1/1. I'd be surprised if the Eagles win more 6 games this season. I believe they're only going to win 5.
