I had a look at eagles cap space and players salary.
Apparently we are 11,3 m over the cap.
Here´s list of potential places to save some space (base salary):

B. Brooks 8,75m
J. Peters 7,75m
V. Curry 9m
N. Foles 4m
T. Smith 5m
B. Celek 4m
M. Jenkins 8,5m
R. McLeod 6m
M. Kendricks 5,85m
S. Wiesniewski 2,5m
C. Maragos 1,75m

These were the players i thought stood out with relatively high salaries.
I would like to keep almost all of them, but someone has to go. To me it should be Torrey Smith, Brent Celek and Nick Foles. Hopefully we can trade Nick, Brent is a smaller part of the O year after year and Torrey just dropped too many balls. Will Peters and Maragos come back healthy?

What do you think?

I like all of the players shown, but someone does have to go. I think that Torrey Smith should go even though every player on the team says nothing but great things about him. Too many drops and too much money isn't a good combination. Celek was in Philly during some of the lean years, but he's 33 now. He'll need to be replaced (meaning cut, of course) sooner than later. I think Foles should stay because Wentz's knee is worse than originally thought and the Eagles aren't sure if he'll be ready at the start of the season. I have to admit some bias when it comes to Foles; I've been a fan of his since his days at Arizona. Having written that, Foles has shown that he's pretty good. At worst, he can be moved before next season's trade deadline (if Wentz is healthy by then).

There are also moves that need to be made at RB (bye, Smallwood! See ya, Pumphey!) and DB (too much of a good thing). I don't envy the choices Roseman and Pederson have to make, that's for sure.

So some moves have been made.

Bye Brent, bye Vinnie, bye Torrey and bye Donnie. + the ones who left through FA. = 18m. Really sad to see Brent and Vinnie go, but production didnt match the pay.

Hello Bennett and Ngata. = 9,6m. (And welcome back Nigel).

Seems like we´re still 0,7m over the cap. I guess this can be done with some restructering, but then comes this years draft players. I still think we will see a move or two. I still hope for a trade of some sort, but the Foles trade seems dead with an appaerent price of a 1st rounder. Think they´ll try to move Kendricks again or an O-lineman.

Oh, and any thoughts on the draft?

What an offseason so far. Typical of Roseman to make so many moves. I personnally like/love a lot of the moves, but question some. Like/love: Brandon Graham, Malik Jackson, Ronald Darby, Jordan Howard and Andrew Sendejo. Have questions about: Jason Peters, Michael Bennet trade and DeSean Jackson.

Sorry to see Foles leave, but too expensive for a backup. Also Sproles and Ajaji will be missed, but production and pay didnt match.

According to Spotrac.com we now have 22m of cap room, so i dont think Howie is done yet.

And now to the draft: Whats our biggest need? Any predictions? A lot of mocks have Josh Jacobs in the 1st. But after the Howard trade, is this still the guy?

Lets go get another ring.
