2019-05-13 16:12:00 - Upset Wins Continue!Report Abuse

Another stunning upset for the Storm, knocking off the Stockholm Cruel Kings in Supercup action 31-20. The score doesn't show it; the Storm fighting from behind most of the game and the normally reliable defense unable to create a turnover.

However, the defense did complete 6 sacks, which turned out to be just the trick needed, stopping deep drives by the Kings.

The Storm offense put the team on it's shoulders and got it done. The receiving core was spectacular, with pinpoint accurate passes from John Maier and Gene Jack. One pick almost spelled disaster, but the defense held the Kings to a field goal.

The coach was his normal grumpy self at the presser after the game, but uncharacteristically smiled at the victory, if only briefly.

In a stunning upset, the San Antonio Storm defeated the East Coast Crushers 35-23

All aspects of the game were clicking for the Storm, from 20 yard punt returns for Special Teams returner, Serafim Toma, to TD passes from John Maier, to a championship level of play from the defense with two pick sixes.

The coach, in his normal grumpy style, reminded reporters at the presser that the Storm were scoreless in the second half, giving up 17 points to the Crushers. Fans celebrated the unexpected victory by visiting the construction zone that will house the new fan shop.

The San Antonio Storm defeats Bolo Mountain for the Championship. The defense dominated, scoring one TD themselves on a pick-six. They also logged another interception and several tackles for a loss. For the entire second half, Bolo Mountain never entered the Storm's end of the field.

The offense went totally conservative, leaning on their season-long dominating running game, picking up over 100 yards for both halfbacks. The QBs combined for 7 completions and 1 TD.

2019-01-02 15:00:15 - Inaugural Season AchievementReport Abuse

With a 30-21 victory over the Berlin Racoons, The San Antonio Storm move through to the League Bowl game in their inaugural season.

Training has only intensified a little in the shadow of the championship, the coaching staff cognizant of the player's health and mental fitness for the contest. Players are resting and working with staff to implement the best game plan they can.

Looking forward into next season, the Storm will face much stiffer competition. Hopefully, the draft can help fill some holes in the team.
