2019-01-24 14:32:53 - Supercup Upset!Report Abuse

In a stunning upset, the San Antonio Storm defeated the East Coast Crushers 35-23

All aspects of the game were clicking for the Storm, from 20 yard punt returns for Special Teams returner, Serafim Toma, to TD passes from John Maier, to a championship level of play from the defense with two pick sixes.

The coach, in his normal grumpy style, reminded reporters at the presser that the Storm were scoreless in the second half, giving up 17 points to the Crushers. Fans celebrated the unexpected victory by visiting the construction zone that will house the new fan shop.

The San Antonio Storm defeats Bolo Mountain for the Championship. The defense dominated, scoring one TD themselves on a pick-six. They also logged another interception and several tackles for a loss. For the entire second half, Bolo Mountain never entered the Storm's end of the field.

The offense went totally conservative, leaning on their season-long dominating running game, picking up over 100 yards for both halfbacks. The QBs combined for 7 completions and 1 TD.

With a 30-21 victory over the Berlin Racoons, The San Antonio Storm move through to the League Bowl game in their inaugural season.

Training has only intensified a little in the shadow of the championship, the coaching staff cognizant of the player's health and mental fitness for the contest. Players are resting and working with staff to implement the best game plan they can.

Looking forward into next season, the Storm will face much stiffer competition. Hopefully, the draft can help fill some holes in the team.

2018-12-31 20:36:25 - On to Conference FinalsReport Abuse

With a 21-16 victory over the Berlin Devils, in front of a sold out crowd, the Storm move on to their second meeting with the Racoons.

This victory was hard fought for, as the home team was trailing at the break. Still, the defense logged a safety to start the contest, so they weren't without merit.

In the Conference Finals, the Storm once again face the Racoons, having been defeated 28:26 on a missed field goal. The team is amped up and ready to go, visualizing how to defeat the team they've come to recognize as their ultimate league rivals.

Storm Front Stadium throws open their doors tomorrow, for what should be a terrific rematch of these giants in Fire 2.1.
