2019-04-04 04:04:37 - End of Season 33 ReportReport Abuse

As Season 33 is coming to a close, we are sharing our first u p d a t e in quite some time. We managed to repeat a 14-2 record for the second straight season and a 4th consecutive division title. In addition to this, we won our first playoff game in Monarchs 1 in a wildcard game against none other than Torroles HardRock. In a game so close that it went into overtime, we prevailed. However, we fell to Paxtang Black Panthers in the Divisional Round 9-16, ending our drive for a Conference title appearance.

We managed to sign back most of our starters, as well as several new and promising players, and feel very confident that a 5th division title is on the way, with a likely 13-3 record in season 34. After surpassing predictions for this season (12-4) by two games, it is reasonable to expect only 3 losses for season 34. This is pure guesswork since the schedule wont be released till this weekend, but we are confident in our way too early predictions at this point.

Go Gators!

2019-01-04 03:51:32 - End of Season ReportReport Abuse

Season 32 ended in a disappointing manner in The Swamp, where the Gators were a perfect 8-0 during league play. The loss to SAS ended the Gators best season in 1.1 to date, and though it leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of our fans, everyone can agree that the Gators have achieved far more than expected this season.

Though we were favorites to win our division, no one could have predicted a strong 14-2 showing and a second place finish in the conference going into the playoffs. Finishing the season undefeated at home was also a great milestone, and one that the coaches will likely underscore during the offseason in preparation for next season. Each of the past three seasons have been improvements on the previous year, but this one was far more drastic, turning an 11-5 team into a 14-2 one is no small task. Key victories over several teams that ended up going far into the playoffs only added to our impressive strength of schedule.

Without having a schedule released for next season, it is difficult to predict our future just yet, but based on the players that Manager gatorfan1 has managed to sign on, it is reasonable that a 12-4 record can be reached. Go Gators!

2018-11-22 02:18:46 - Huge Win in the SwampReport Abuse

Yesterday marked one of the biggest wins ever in The Swamp, as our beloved Gators chomped down on the Secret Air Service to the tune of a 24-7 victory!

At halftime, we led 10-0, and in the third quarter added another TD to lead 17-0 before SASwas able to scoreto cut the lead to 17-7. We added another TD in the 4th to seal the win.

This was our programs first ever victory over SAS, which is even more impressive given that the previous matches we allowed over 30 points each and managed to score no more than 17. Our rushing attack played a huge factor, grinding out over 278 yards and controlling possession time in our favor.

We now prepare for what should be an easy tune-up game over the Dallas Cowboys, Go Gators!

2017-12-26 04:09:41 - Mid Season UpdateReport Abuse

After playing 8 games, the Florida Gators are alone in the top spot of the AC as the last remaining unbeaten team. With signature wins over Little Town Eagles, SARMIS, and Miami Hurricanes, the Gators boast a top 10 ranked offense and a powerful defense. With the next two games being against either bot or brand new teams, the Gators are essentially guaranteed a 10-0 start, as well as a for sure place in the playoffs this season. The last remaining challenges will be the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Hurricanes. Official predictions still have the Gators finishing the season at 15-1 and ranked #1 in the AC. Go Gators!

2017-12-11 15:57:10 - Clash of the TitansReport Abuse

This past gameday had huge playoff implications, as the Florida Gators took on SARMIS in the Swamp. Both teams came in a solid 4-0 with a solid resume to start the season. SARMIS had shut out every opponent other than Miami, who they beat 41-7 and handed their only loss of the season so far. The Gators had also shut out every opponent, except Lucy LooLoo, who fell 29-13.

The key difference between the two was that the Gators had also destroyed the Little Town Eagles 60-0 to hand them their only loss so far this season. These stats led viewers to believe this was an early season matchup of two teams that very well could make it to the League Championship for a rematch later this season.

After a hotly contested first quarter, the Gators led 14-7 after returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown. It was all downhill from there, as the Gators took a 24-10 halftime lead. The second half was business as usual for Florida, as they cruised to a solid 40-10 win over SARMIS, giving them their first loss of the year.

Next gameday, the Gators will be taking on the Miami Hurricanes in what will be a huge divisional game for both teams, as the winner will have the inside track for control of the AC South. Early projections have the Gators on top, 27-20
