2019-03-16 20:12:19 - Season 32: Another season in Elite League securedReport Abuse

It was a fight until the last week of the season, but the Ducks made it. They secured Elite League for Season 33. Their final record 10-6 was just enough for the second place in the division behind Yellowcakes and in front of Free Agent Mascots. Their season ended in the Wild Card round, when they lost 28:30 to Diorite Lions. They also went unbeaten through the division stage in SuperCup, however they lost 17:23 to Chesterton Cheese in the first round of the play-offs.

"We did not repeat the success of previous season, but at least we managed to save Elite League for us for the next season. That was especially important for us, because we expect that it will be the last season in Elite for some time, because we decided to start a rebuilding process. We built a strong team full of veteran star players. These players made a terrific job for us, but we cannot satisfy legitimate salary demands of all of them. We already started the process and we will go younger and cheaper. This will surely affect the strength of our team, which probably would not be sufficient for the Elite League. We will however fight bravely and if we get relegated we will try to get back as soon as possible," said GM Mr.Pumpkin.

Tight end Petr Malina was awarded as the Best TE of the Region RZA Elite League and also as the Best TE of the Elite League. Hubert Macek was awarded as the 2nd best RB of the Region RZA Elite League and also as the 2nd best RB of the Elite League.

Here are the results of traditional fans awards:

Rookie of the season:

SF Erich Matuška
It is tough to earn playing time for rookies in such a strong team. Erich Matuška appeared in only for games and recorded just one tackle. However he earned a place in fans' hearts when he was forced to substitute injured kicker Prokop Škoda. He kicked 6 field goals and made all of them. The longest one was from distance of 42 yards. He also made 4 of PATs.

Offensive player of the season:

RB Hubert Macek
He is admirably consistent. This was his seventh consecutive season with more than 4.000 rushing yards. He rushed 805 times for 4.068 yards and 36 TDs. Legend.

Defensive player of the season:

LB Minas Oganesian
He recorded 19 tackles, 10 sacks, 19 interceptions, 3 forced and recovered fumbles and 9 defensive TDs in all official games. Defensive leader as always.

MVP of the season:

QB Rudolf Gregor
He certainly showed how good he is in his first season as a true number one quarterback. He completed 1261 passes for 10.909 yards, 137 TDs and only 8 interceptions. He added 30 rushes for 143 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. Excellent.

2018-12-27 20:26:50 - Antonín Kafka and Edwin Randall inducted into the Motol Ducks Hall of FameReport Abuse

Cornerback Antonín Kafka and tight end Edwin Randall were inducted into the Motol Ducks Hall of Fame. They were both key players of the Motol Ducks team that finally managed to get to the Elite League. They retired afterwards and never played in the Elite League.

Cornerback Antonín Kafka is a product of Motol Ducks Youth Academy. He joined the academy when he was 16 years old and spent his whole professional career (11 seasons) as a Motol Duck. He played in 363 official games in which he recorded 2.639 tackles (most in franchise history), 82 interceptions (third most in franchise history, most among cornerbacks), 10 forced fumbles, 1 sack and 44 defensive TDs.

“I was lucky that I got in the team in the rebuilding process and got a chance to show what I've got. I showed it, the coaches liked it and so I got extensive playing time which I enjoyed,” said CB Antonín Kafka.

Kafka received two individual trophies in his career:
3rd best CB of the Region Admirals in Season 28
2nd best LB of the League Admirals 1.1 in Season 28

Tight end Edwin Randall played just 17 games for another team (michigan state spartans) before he joined the Ducks in Season 20. He played in 359 in the Ducks' uniform and he caught 1.701 catches (second most in franchise history, most among tight ends), for 23.765 yards (third most in franchise history, most among tight ends), 270 TDs (fourth most in franchise history). He also added 934 blocks (most among tight ends in franchise history).

“I am so glad that the Ducks brought me here in Season 20 and that I could be part of this great team. I enjoyed it so much and I was thrilled that I could contribute to get the team to Elite League in my last season of football. We were unstoppable that year and it was a hell of a ride,” said TE Edwin Randall.

Randall received four individual trophies:
2nd best TE of the League Admirals 2.2 in Season 21
2nd best TE of the League Admirals 1.1 in Season 25
3rd best TE of the League Admirals 1.1 in Season 28
1st best TE of the League Admirals 1.1 in Season 30

2018-12-27 20:10:20 - Season 31: Very successful season in Elite companyReport Abuse

Motol Ducks flew into the Elite league for the first time in their history and they did admirably well. They lost only three games in the regular season and they won AC South division with 13-3 record. They managed to beat their divisional rival BobBoy Magpies 34:13 in the Wild Card round, but they lost to one of the most successful teams of RZA history Styrian Bears 9:26 in the Divisional round.

The Ducks were successful in the Champs of the Champs league, where they got into the semi-finals, where they lost to later champion OrangeCrush 16:41. They also went unbeaten through the division stage in SuperCup, however they lost 22:27 to another Czech team AS Roma Wolves in the first round of the play-offs.

“Our main goal for the season was to stay in the Elite for one more year. We achieved that and on the top of that we won the divisional title and got to the champions league semi-finals. Just a very successful season we can build on,” said GM Mr.Pumpkin.

Hubert Macek had another excellent season and he was awarded as the Best RB of the Region RZA Elite League and also as the Best RB of the Elite League. “I was very pleased that I was able to continue in the performances I displayed in the lower leagues,” said RB Hubert Macek.

Here are the results of traditional fans awards:

Rookie of the season:

WR David Výborný
He played 37 games as a rookie which is a great achievement in such a strong roster. On the top of that he added 45 catches for 621 yards and 11 TDs.

Offensive player of the season:

QB Rudolf Gregor
He split the game time with Edvard Hrdina and he performed distinctively better. He completed 570 passes for 8.458 yards, 136 TDs and only 5 interceptions.

Defensive player of the season:

LB Minas Oganesian
Another dominant season by this linebacker. He recorded 203 tackles, 17 sacks, 29 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles and 8 defensive TDs in all official games. Impressive numbers.

MVP of the season:

RB Hubert Macek
He rushed for 906 times for 5.048 yards (most in franchise history) and 49 TDs. He is the best running back in the game. Period.

2018-07-31 19:21:51 - Season 30 – Ducks finally made it to Elite!Report Abuse

It was a long, long time ago when the Ducks won the 1.1 Admirals League Bowl for the last time. It was in Season 12 and it was the last Season before the Elite League was created. The Ducks were one game away from Elite in couple of following seasons, however they never succeeded and management decided that it was time for a rebuild. Ducks got relegated in the second division of Admirals region and made it back after one season. They slowly built arguably even stronger team than they had had before the rebuild, but they struggled in the postseason. Until Season 30.

The Ducks started the season with 1-2 record, but they did not lose any regular season game after week 3. They beat Comeback Kids 19:17 in the Divisional Round, then managed to beat one of their biggest rivals WV BoBcats 34:10 and finally win in the League Bowl game 40:17 over Padborg Borderliners. After so many seasons with a completely new squad the Ducks won League Bowl in Admirals 1.1 and this time it meant promotion to Elite League as well.

The Ducks also made it to the SuperCup play-offs, but lost in the first round 22:14 to Torino Black Bulls.

Several players received individual awards for their season performances. RB Hubert Macek became the best RB of the League Admirals 1.1 and also the best RB of the Admirals Region. LB Minas Oganesian was awarded as the best LB of the League Admirals 1.1 and also as the 2nd best RB of the Admirals Region. TE Edwin Randall received trophy for the best TE of the League Admirals 1.1 and OL Roland Popelka for the 2nd best OL of the League Admirals 1.1.

“This is something we were aiming for for a long time and we finally made it, it is a great feeling and I am sure that I can speak for our whole team when I say that we will do our best to be competitive in Elite League,” said RB Hubert Macek.

Several players announced their retirements and they unfortunately will not help our team in the Elite League. These players are TE Edwin Randall, CB Antonín Kafka, OG Vincenc Drbohlav, CB Albert Karel and S Tadeáš Pop.

Here are the results of traditional fans awards:

Rookie of the season:

TE Bohumil Macek
Macekl was the only rookie, who got a chance to play in official games and he only played in special teams. It is tough to earn a spot in this roster full of star players and Bohumil certainly earned it.

Offensive player of the season:

TE Edwin Randall
Randall was reliable target and blocker his whole career. The last season of his career was not different. He caught 221 passes for 2.727 yards and 36 touchdowns and added 100 successful blocks.

Defensive player of the season:

LB Minas Oganesian
Excellent season for Oganesian. He made 163 tackles, 21 sacks, caught 35 interception, forced and recovered 3 fumbles and scored 29 defensive touchdowns.

MVP of the season:

RB Hubert Macek
Another fantastic season for the veteran running back. He recorded 890 rushes for 4.798 yards and 56 touchdowns. Just incredible.

2018-07-31 19:21:13 - Season 29 – Divisional title and postseason disappointmentReport Abuse

The Ducks were able to win a division in 1.1 Admirals League after 10 years of waiting and on the top of that they had a first week bye in the postseason since their 12-4 record second best in the AC Conference. However all hopes were demolished in Divisional Round, where the Ducks lost 27:28 to Melittlemenon thepitchhitchin.

The Ducks also got into the SuperCup play-offs. They beat Artifice 44:7 in the first round, but then they lost to San Diego Blitzkrieg 10:38 in the second round.

“We really hoped that this will finally be our season. It is tough to deal with it. We have to learn from this and be better next season,” said TE Edwin Randall.

RB Hubert Macek and OL Oscar Ripley were awarded for their individual performances of the season. Huber Macek received award for the best RB of the League Admirals 1.1 and also for the best RB of the Admirals Region. OL Oscar Ripley was awarded as the 3rd best OL of the League Admirals 1.1

The results of traditional fans awards are following:

Rookie of the season:

No one.
For the first time in the history of the franchise no rookie (player from draft od Youth Academy) played a snap for the Ducks.

Offensive player of the season:

TE Edwin Randall
Randall is the top target for our quarterbacks. He caught 199 passes for 2.570 yards and 33 touchdowns and added 100 successful blocks.

Defensive player of the season:

CB Antonín Kafka
Kafka led the team with 331 tackles. He also recorded 12 interceptions, 1 forced fumble and scored 8 defensive touchdowns.
