The 8 teams taking part are :
Derbyshire Electric / Motol Ducks - DREAM ALLIANCE Sinna Ladd Tromso / Devon Dog Soldiers - NORWEGIAN PUPPIES Free Agent Mascots / RN Nautics - HUNGRY CABIN BOYS Shard End Sharks / Alphaville - BELGIAN BONEHEADS Tommerup Hippogriffs / The Wretched - RYE & WHEAT SAUSAGE SANDWICH Morgantown Mad Dogs / Mainhattan Misfits - KEBABLOVING CANINES Phoenix Firebirds / Tribal Hydra - AMERICAN FATBOYS Galrauch Raiders / Springheel Jacks - MANCHESTER WANNABES This initial trial tournament will take the form of a 2 DIVISION MINI LEAGUE TOURNAMENT - there will be 2 Divisions of 4 teams (randomly selected) with all teams playing each other once. There will then be a one night Playoff night to determine the overall final placings. To gain a win, it is the CUMULATIVE SCORE of the two friendlies that count. Should the Cumulative score be the same (ie a Tie) then the team who has scored the most points individually across the 2 games will be awarded the win. The League Table will be decided by Games Won and then Points Differential. Should that be the same it will be Most Points Scored. DIVISION A Norwegian Puppies American Fatboys Dream Alliance Rye & Wheat Sausage Sandwich (R&WSS) DIVISION B Belgian Boneheads Manchester Wannabes Hungry Cabin Boys Kebabloving Canines FIXTURES FRIDAY 27 SEPTEMBER (AWAY TEAM LISTED FIRST) DIV A Dream Alliance @ R&WSS Norwegian Puppies @ American Fatboys Div B Hungry Cabin Boys @ Kebabloving Canines Belgian Boneheads @ Manchester Wannabes SATURDAY 28 SEPTEMBER DIV A R&WSS @ Norwegian Puppies American Fatboys @ Dream Alliance DIV B Manchester Wannabes @ Hungry Cabin Boys Kebabloving Canines @ Belgian Boneheads TUESDAY 1 OCTOBER DIV A Norwegian Puppies @ Dream Alliance R&WSS @ American Fatboys DIV B Belgian Boneheads @ Hungry Cabin Boys Manchester Wannabes @ Kebabloving Canines SETTING OF FIXTURES The responsibility to propose/set the friendlies is that of the AWAY TEAM - but they get to choose which of the Home Teams they face. Obviously this is done by discussion between the two team managers - either in private (via PM/Email) or in public via this thread. Once decided, the fixtures should be set up by the Away Team and accepted by the Home Team. The decision of who faces who should negate any minor advantage gained by who is at home. It would be too complicated to do one home /one away per duo and who sets what games, so i think this is the best and fairest way to address it. PLAYOFF/FINALS NIGHT - FRIDAY 4 OCTOBER Champs Game : Winner of DIV A v Winner of DIV B 3rd/4th Place Playoff : 2nd in DIV A v 2nd in DIV B 5th/6th Place Playoff : 3rd in DIV A v 3rd in DIV B 7th/8th Place Playoff : 4th in DIV A v 4th in DIV B In all cases, the team with the better record/PD/PF shall be the Home Team - with the other Team being the Away Team though gets the matchup picks. The winner of the Championship Game will win 100 credits - 50 each per team. Any questions please ask - or any potential issues - but it should be a good fun - and a little different - tournament. OK Guys,
We really should be starting to set the fixtures for at least this Fridays and Saturdays games now for Rounds 1 and 2.......remember it is the AWAY team who chooses which HOME team to play and the AWAY team must propose the friendly for the home to accept. So for Fridays Round 1 game : Dream Alliance should be challenging R&WSS Norwegian Puppies should be challenging American Fatboys Div B Hungry Cabin Boys should be challenging Kebabloving Canines Belgian Boneheads should be challenging Manchester Wannabes Please ONLY accept friendly challenges from a team you are playing, otherwise the whole tournament will be compromised. clear enough instructions have been given - no questions have been asked - so i assume everyone is clear on what happens here. Lets get things sorted nice n early so there can be no problems. Once the matchups have been set, please post on here so that i can list the individual matches for results recording |
