So here we are again. The SC playoffs are upon us and I counted 14 thunder teams which is sadly 5 less then last year. Last year we had a record 3 teams in the final 16 and Vienna actually managed to get to the final so it will be a tough task to achieve the same but GL to everyone.

Ive got a favourable 1st round match up against Meseta Garnets who are a division two side and surprisingly they managed to qualify with only a 13-2 record. I will have to avoid complacency but I am confident I should be able to get through.

how is everyone else feeling about there match ups?

As usual, it's post season time and the Convicts are coughing and spluttering going in!

And I have a very tough 1st round!

I have a 2 year hoodoo of 0-4 in the playoffs to shake!

so there are only 4 Thunder teams left in the supercup and two of them are playing one another.

Chelsea Nation vs South Georgia Red Beavers
never played before so this should be an interesting game.

Lucea Cardinals vs Vienna Falcons
Falcons have a very tough opponent but they will get a small boost from home field advantage and if last season proves anything then we know wiesengrund has the ablity to game plan all the way to the final.

Landru Athletics vs Derbyshire Electric
I like landru in this matchup and I think they should get through quite comfortably.

My team had a very strange game putting up 349 yards, 23 first downs but only 10 points on offence and my defence got a franchise record 5 sacks but I still needed a huge slice of luck in the 4th quarter to win this game.

Also confused about how well the South Georgia Red Beavers managed to run against me. ignoring the fact that my team is much better rated in run offence and defence even the stats don't make sense.

Total number of pancakes- Chelsea Nation 108
South Georgia Red Beavers 47

Tackle breaks by rushers- Chelsea Nation 11
South Georgia Red Beavers 6

Rush average- Chelsea Nation 4.8
South Georgia Red Beavers 4.5

And my team only has a better average because I had 13 runs against the Dime which really boosted my run average. RZA still has a way of proving that I know very little about how this game works.

Great win notsch - our last standing SC team (big surprise that!)

I'll bet you loved his FG at the end of the 1st half!

And wtf was that 4th and 10 run from their 14!? Was that deliberate or a playbook oversight? Or where you just always planning to set him up for that late TD for the 1 point lead?

I was sitting there fingers crossed and thinking 'no long Punt return, no long punt returns'...well it was 'just' 44 yards long
No , that was as bad as the fumble return TD on my first drive

Yeah wtf...exactly my thoughts...i checked the playbook and it was (of course) my fault

Excuse me - I tuned in late and never even realised that. Great day on D for you - no TDs allowed!

But surely you can't do that 2 games in a row?

Cya tomorrow!
