I understand that, but I am still pretty happy with my pick in this seasons draft class..

When I have a strong player in my YA I rather make an OL out of him.. This will be my sixth season in RZA and so I haven't had so many chances to promote a player from the YA a player, who joined me when he was 16 (and had the longest time possible to develop) so far..

Normally, I would't have done that, but I really didn't like what I saw yesterday on the draft board.. The kicker wasn't my number one for the second round, but I picked as #26 and I ended up with him.. His age, experience and uncapped strength made me happy, so do not try to spoil it for me

sorry dude - glad you like him

tbh looking at the 3rd round, if I needed a Kicker and there was one I liked I would probably consider one here as its so crap. Only bothered to set about 6 players on the board.

You're right there isn't much left on the board at the moment. A possible development project maybe but that's about it.

With a bit of luck I may be able to fill a need in a couple of seasons time when the drafted players from my first two drafts start to retire as 4 of them are now 29 (already moved Schott on at the end of last season).

If my 3rd round pick is on the roster in a season or two, I'll consider it a successful pick.

My 3rd round pick from last season is on the roster. Sure, he's never played a single down not even in a friendly, and won't. Physicals still haven't capped yet but when they do maybe he will make someone else's roster. The 3rd rounder the season before is still around and will probably stay on the roster for several seasons. Apart from that all the others have moved on since the draft at the start of season 6.

I had my fifth pick this time and it's a punter. He'll be an immediate starter though.

Yeah I had Rios for my top choice in the 2nd round too. At 18/19 with decent physicals, he was the best available IMO.

Drafting a Punter/Kicker/ QB is ok as a late 2nd round into 3rd round pick. Recent drafts don't have any other obvious choices at that point, so if that player is good enough and there is a need on your team, then it's worth the pick. I picked a QB late in the 2nd round last year to replace Conger when he retires, and he's turning out to be a good looking player so far. Speed still is not yellow, and strength is good enough.

Yeah, I expect to sell my 3rd rounder tomorrow, but there's a chance I might get a surprise. I think I sold last season's 3rd rounder shortly after the draft (KR?). I don't remember how many I've sold in the past, maybe half, but more in recent seasons. At least I won't get a K/P/QB this season.
