Heck of a game Orcs.

Thought I blew it with bad/lazy coaching ...
really shoulda adjusted for my top SF (by a full star) being out for another 6 days.

Yep, very close match, however, there was a very bad decision at ORCS side, not punting 0:49 seconds before end inQ4, so, finally this offered the Dawgs the chance for the final 3-Point-Kick 0.19 seconds before end.

I have to change my playbook, definitely at this point.

Nevertheless, congrats

I've been less active this season with lots of stuff going on but make sure to set my roster each week. What a joke my team has become! I thought I still had a pretty decent team and have been favored to win quite heavily most games but somehow still lose. My OL can't block, my superstar RB is having his worst season ever, and my new QB just isn't nearly as good as the one that retired. I'm getting beaten by teams with much worse ratings across the board but I haven't had time to try and figure out why. No playoffs at all for the Wildcats this season.

Matchday , my personal matches of the day :

Bretzfeld Bandits 20:34 San Diego Hurricanes
Second loss in a row for Bandids. Hurricanes too strong this time, Seems, as Bandids are going for some kind of "Team refresh" this season.

Wallace Wildcats 26:17 Daydream Titans
Titans with a nice 4-1 record before this match, but Wildcats (as usual) on its way to Playoffs. Nice close match, though...

@Wildcats: Too much 4-3 defense? I scrolled through quick on the last league game and seemed like a lot of big plays allowed from that.

The NC seems to have most of the interesting fights for division crowns, while the AC might end up with the more interesting wild card races ...

AC East: Spitfires
AC North: Bulls? Hopefully, would be sad to see a bot team win a playoff berth.
AC South: Dawgs, Stallions, Meerkats all in the driver seat currently for playoff spots.
AC West: Marauders, Templars could challenge to take a wild card spot from the south however.

NC East: Hurricanes and Crush have been 1/2 in Beckos ratings wire to wire, wouldn't be surprised to see the league champ come out of this division.
NC North: Drinkers
NC South: Pirates and Pangolins are pretty much dead even here, should be interesting - rooting for Pangolins where I noticed he's got my old QB, Dexter Decker.
NC West: Orcs

Considering 10 out of 12 seedings are still up in the air, and some very close Beckos predictions, looks like there are some games this week with huge implications for the playoffs.

Week 16 AFC playoff picture:
Marauders v Panthers (+20)
Dawgs v Stallions (+5)
Battle for the top seed in the AFC is close, with Marauders leading by only 5 points. According to Beckos, it will go to Marauders on PD. However if Stallions can pull off the upset, they would vault to the 2nd seed, dropping the Dawgs to 5th. Big games for all 3 teams.

Meerkats v Mobsters (+5)
Templars v Raiders (+41)
The battle for the last spot in the AFC wildcard is also coming down to the wire, with the Templars behind 1 game, but ahead by 6 in point differential. If the Mobsters can pull the upset, Templars could squeak in.

Week 16 NFC playoff picture:
Crush (+20) v Hurricanes
My pick for game of the week, that will determine the top seed in the NFC, and which team will drop to the 5th seed. Despite the blowout early this season by OC, Beckos sees this one going to the Hurricanes by enough to flip the 6 point deficit in PD, and give Hurricanes homefield throughout the playoffs.

Pirates v Brasilia (+4)
Pangolins v Wildcats (+22)
These two games are also huge in terms of seeding. The Pangolins currently trail the Pirates in terms of PD by 45 points, so they would need either a Brasilia upset or a massive blowout of the Wildcats to take the 2nd seed, rather than the 6th spot.

Drinkers v Titans (+19)
Orcs v Sharks (+114)
Both have clinched, and are separated by one lone point in PD. Looks very likely that Orcs will take the 3rd seed as division winner, with Drinkers taking the 4th seed, unless both games end up high enough scoring to cap the PD.

Beckos predicted playoff seeding:
AFC
1. Midnight Marauders
2. Fairhaven Naughty Dawgs
3. Saint Etchford Spitfires*
4. Torino Black Bulls*
5. Samuels Stallions
6. Mighty Metropolitan Meerkats

NFC
1. San Diego Hurricanes
2. Penzance Pirates
3. Saarbruecken Orcz
4. Guinness Drinkers United
5. OrangeCrush
6. Soton Pangolins

* - locked into this seed regardless of W16 outcomes.

Thanks for the excellent write up, Gambler

All season long I had a pretty good PD advantage against the Canes and was hoping, that the final game might not be that crucial.

Now I wonder what happens if I lose by a FG

Anyway, will be a great game good luck slider

Good question ... I couldn't find the next tiebreaker, if record and PD are equal, anywhere in the manual.

My guess would be total touchdown count if it's similar to the NFL tiebreakers (90% of which don't apply with conference/division/etc. records not being tracked). If so, that is in Hurricanes favor at the moment.

AFC
The Mobsters did pull off the upset with a late FG and some MotY goodness, opening the way for Templars to squeak into the last playoff spot. A rough first round matchup against the Spitfires awaits.

The Dawgs and Marauders both won, no change in seeding at the top.

NFC
The Pirates *almost* fell to Brasilia V8, needing 2 scores in the 4thQ to come back from 11 down. That sets up a bye week for the Pirates while the Pangolins travel to the Orcs, who they narrowly beat just a few days ago at home.

OrangeCrush pulled off the win against the Hurricanes in a game which had no offensive TDs for 56 minutes ... OC managed to turn both turnovers they forced into defensive TDs, while only one of three for the Hurricanes went the distance.

Any bowl predictions? I'm still bouncing between Crush/'Canes as my pick on the NFC side, but I'll stand by my early statement of the league winner coming out of the NFC East.

My pick: Crush over Stallions, in a low scoring defensive game ... say 23-17 or thereabouts.

While Dawgs and Marauders might be the AFC favorites on paper, I have a feeling Spitfires and Stallions have been playing a lot of their younger players all season, and the differences in payroll (7.4 Stallions, 4.1 Spitfires, 1.6 Dawgs, 1.2 Marauders) will likely end up apparent in the playoffs.
