Picking at #27 and knowing I 'd miss out on the top defensive players I gambled on a QB

Picked up Romero (now named High) with 49.7 Strength and Strong Arm Trait - also has 3.5 Exp

Speed is capped though at 40.6

Judging by the comments on these forum boards the seems to be no clear consensus as to the true effect of speed / strength on sacks / interceptions

Any thoughts ?

I was happy to get Obasanjo at #11, as a bonus his speed ended up being uncapped. Plus being only 19 he should be quite good for a long time.

Every team will have different needs and if you needed a TE there were only 3 to chose from (or converting WRs), but Pastor was easily the best of them.

So...Pastor had good STR/SPD but that low INT/TW/TAL is a no-no for me. Honestly I'd have gone for the WR Stephens and his twin traits and converted him, might have been capped out on 43 STR/47 SPD but worth a shot IMO.

converting a player is all well and good, but often the need is great and a player like Pastor you can plug in and play, with not having the time to convert and then wait god knows how long before the blocking on the converted WR is good enough to plug in.

You can rest him against me if he looks a bit knackered in a couple of seasons.

I think that many of my thoughts were already correctly addressed, so no need to repeat them.

I can only add that Pastor (now his name is Ercole Pilotto since I offer italian citizenship to all my first draft choices) was my #7 choice overall and he was anyway the only undrafted player of my list of 17, so even if I'd put him 18th I'd draft him anyway.
Anyway it's a good add-on for my receivers corp, since I had to cut a TE out of the YA that was a little bit worse than him.

I can understand the Bounty Hunters objection, since in the first round draft everyone looks for the "perfect player", but they are normally less than 10 in each draft. Therefore you have to s e l e c t the best compromise to strengthen the team whoever you draft.

Looking at players left, I cannot expect to draft any of the good ones still in the list, so again I have to try cherry-picking to staff some uncovered areas of the team.

Glad to hear so many had Kulawanit high on their boards, cause he´s going on sale saturday, along with my other 2 draft picks and 1 from last seasons draft.

Im gonna do this the next 2 drafts aswell.

I do this to get cash for the big roster turnaround and for player salaries the next few seasons.

Happy bidding when the sale starts.
