Hello fellow Managers! Reporting in!

So, 10 games into the League season, the Janitors are still undefeated. No team got closer than the Miami Dolphins during our 1st game this season and that was still a 24 point win, so I'm not really going to go into game-specific details.

Many of the teams are reborning from bot status, so while Dragons 2 is the most active 2nd division still, in the current state it's a slugfest below the contenders.

The team is developing nicely, pretty much trimmed down, only a few guys whom I couldn't trade or won't hand a contract extension.

What I wanted to write some about is the current contenders:

Oregon Pioneers (8-2): one of the 2 teams I'm really really impressed with. Tightly ran, getting a lot out of it's drafted guys (one of the best LBs and the brightest RB in the league) and doing this on a budget.
He has to find at least a complimentary level of passing attack to balance his Offense out (#1 rushing attack with the #32 passing attack) and he should not only be promoted after that, but should have a staying power in the 1st division as well. Stingy, top third of the league defense, which only needs a few more top guys to be top 5.
Star player(s) to watch: Karega Wekesa, Xi-Wang Thín

Paladins (7-3): the 'other' team. Carried by it's mercurial defense (led by the, yet again magnificent, Daniel Desbois) and a a well balanced offense, this team is braced for promotion, just like the aforementioned Pioneers. The team would benefit from more time to develop his core group and adding a few more vets, considering how insanely young this team is.
Star player(s) to watch: Daniel Desbois, Matthias Amiot, Cyril Loison

sussex gladiators (9-1): a mainstay at the top of D2, for quite a while now, being one of the longer establised org in the league. His team is built from the ground up, a gritty, almost all-english roster. After his Offensive problems earlier in the season the team is now back to his steady ways. Top quarter of the league in almost every category.
Star player(s) to watch: Winston Houghton (the whole DL crew, pretty much), Teddy Ponder

Brooklyn Blitz (9-1): Carried by an elite defense and a quadruplet on offense, this team is now the #2 ranked team in Dragons 2. On a super strict salary cap, this team rose to the top with the third best point difference in the league and with an insultingly young roster (22,1).
Star player(s) to watch: Khaled Bergman, Patrick Ani, Julian Lemaitre

Tuscaloosa Redbirds (8-2) a team carried by it's great defense, sounds familiar? It seems the way in this league is to have a great defense and a capable-enough offense, which is fine by me! Pretty close and gritty games, with the aforementioned top 5 overall defense is prevailing more often than not.
Star player(s) to watch: pretty much the whole defensive unit

French Guns (6-4): No one should be fooled by the record here. An offense lead by 8th season 1st league veteran QB Ivan Bugarčić and a top quarter of the league overall team, this team packs some serious punch! The offensive line is the second-best in the league. The defense is short stacked, but top quality. The second best point difference in the league is proudly theirs.
Star player(s) to watch: Ivan Bugarčić and the OL crew.

Zürich Moneybags (7-3): Last year's playoff wasn't kind to this team, but the stacked teams from last year got promoted from the division, so here they come again! Lead by a steady rush attack and a top 5 rush defense, this team is ready to be in the playoffs yet again.
Star player(s) to watch: Theodoros Mckeever

There you have it folks! I hope people will get some enjoyment, or some valuable information out of this long-ass post.

I liked it very much Choad! Dragons 2 has its value and I see interesting players (I would love to have Desbois) and teams (all mentioned on your post). That's the reason why Dragons 1 is so competitive.

After 11 games, the manager is at a loss, he does not know where his team is, the team seems to be a real lucky bag.

After a cruel start with three defeats a small winning streak was started - which was interrupted on Saturday abruptly: our "great" kicker blared 2 short field goals and so we lost a defensive battle with 10:12 - without a touchdown of the opponent, but his kicker has reliably hit!

Completely frustrated and without much hope, we played against the big favorite from Paris and delivered 57 minutes a great game, then again 45 seconds to get a complete blackout and admit 14 points of the opponent.

Still - the little hope of participating in the playoffs is there, now the heavy games against our buddy from the Steelers are on, let's see what happens there.

Week 9 to week 12

And the losing streak continues!

Week 9

The Seacrows got another loss after the bye week, this time to “BSoD” the AC West Division leaders (7-1). The French team was a big favorite but at halftime the score was just a 6-3 with 3 field goals and no td. The second half was a one sided team with the “BSoD” franchise getting 3 touchdowns against just one field goal from the Seacrows! The final result was a 27-6 with 477 yards for the French team and just 228 yards by the Lisbon Seacrows. The Italian QB Bonaventura Caputo was sacked 3 times and had one interception. In the press conference the Reggie Brown, Seacrow´s Head Coach was questioned about the 2 QB strategy and the bad results. “I believe in Bonaventura and David. Today, Bona was in a bad day but our O-Line was bad too. It´s a team game and not a player´s game! I will make a decision about our strategy but it´s not because this game. Bonaventura and Barros are great and young QBs and we believe in both like we believe in Tiago Coelho, our youngest QB and we will adapt a new strategy to the rest of the season. We will get Tiago in the Supercup´s games and he´ll be there with one of other two and we will rest one for the League´s games. No, we didn´t decided yet between David and Bonaventura. You will know in the next Supercup game!”

Week 10

London Lions crush the Seacrows!
The English team beat down the Portuguese side with a 40-14 in the Altice Arena with a 31-7 half-time score! Another loss for the Lisbon Seacrows, the six in a row, and this time Reggie Brown decided for the one QB strategy with David Barros playing all the game with a 124.38 qb rating, 14 pass completions in 20 throws, 2 td´s and 1 interception for 247 total pass yards. A good game for the QB12 that was one of the best Portuguese player´s along with WR Joao Arca 104 receiving yards with 3 receptions and one touchdown. The running game was nonexistent with just 36 yards. The Seacrows are clearly in the relegation´s games and if the losing streak continues they might be automatic relegated.

Week 11

And another blowout! Seacrows lost to PIT Stellers 7-41!
The losing streak goes on with another loss and the Seacrows are closer to an automatic relegation! At half time the score was a 20-0 revealing that the PIT Stellers were dominant and that keep on going in the second half with another 21 points for the german team! The Seacrows got a touchdown in the 3rd quarter by TE Dino Hecimovic with a pass by the only playing QB David Barros, revealing that the 2 qb strategy is no more! The pass game continues to be the best option for the Portuguese team getting 199 yards (more than PIT Steellers with 188 yards) and QB David Barros had 73% pass completion, one td and an interception. The PIT Steelers got in RB Eben Hackett with 82 running yards, 5.5 avg, and 2 tds and RB Sandor Franke with 117 total running yards and 4.5 avg the two best players! The Lisbon Seacrows are now with a 2-9 record and they are in the last position in the relegation playoff´s games. The future is uncertain in Lisbon!

Week 12

The Seacrows were in French Fonctionnaires field to try ending their losing streak. The half time score was 16-20, with the french team getting 6-0 in Q1 and Seacrows getting a 16-14 in the second quarter. The expectations were high for the second half with the two teams fighting for each yard in a balanced game. In the second half the defenses were better and in the third quarter the french team got a field goal putting the score in a 16-23. In the final quarter the Fonctionnaires got a touchdown and got almost the victory in the game, with the Portuguese team just getting a touchdown after an interception. The final score was a 23-30 and for the second time the Seacrows were beat up by the french team with a close result revealing that the Portuguese team was in the fight until the end. The 3 interceptions by the Seacrows defense was the key for the final result with only seven points difference. The french team dominated in all sectors with a fantastic 532 total yards against just 207 yards for the Portuguese franchise. The Seacrows Head Coach Reggie Bowie was happy with the pass defense: “We keep close because our defense got 3 interceptions but in the offense we must be in a higher rhythm. It´s not easy to beat this french team that now is 7-5 and second place in our division.” About the relegation battle the Head Coach was affirmative: “We will fight until the end. I know that we are in a bad position (last relegation playoff spot) and our losing streak is bad (now it´s a nine streak loses). We have four games with better and favorite teams and will be hard but we will keep on the fight!”

I missed my last quarter summary due to personal issues (I had no time for "long" texts).

Well, my first season on Dragons 1 ended quite well, with a 7-9 record. I was on playoff run until game 13 when I lost to divisional rival (and eventually division champion) Ljubljna Dragons. After that I focused in preventing relegation while looking for a "better" position draft. I know it is not ethical at all but I was not particularly looking for a win in my last game against London Lions (but I was not tanking either!). Finished with a #13 pick on draft (potentially a #11 pick because of the 2 bots).

Now I am finishing my second scouting round on draft board and selecting the best guys (and some positional needs also). I am also trying to get rid off some expensive rotational players in order to get the best possible roster for S37. I hope I can do better next season!
