Can't argue against that mate! The one problem is that there is a still a few different opinions on where to place your best O linemen. Where do you put yours?

So the first anomaly of the rankings are here
Baltic Stars (4th) 35:45 Lagos Marines (13th) UPSET Girona Dragons (7th) 10:40 Deventer Devils (11th) The score makes this an UPSET I would say Oldtown Rooks (5th) 23:21 Ueterlande 49er (14th) almost UPSET St Pauli Packers (8th) 28:7 The Red Bull Attackers (9th) I beat nay destroyed no7 ranked Dragons while I lost earlier this season to them in week 2. Of course that was without all the signings I made but still he ranked 7th and I ranked 11th. There were some big plays that cannot be predicted but I did identify his right side defense to be weakest and lo and behold, all TDs went over my left side (against his right side). I also, for the first time this season, started rushing the passer which resulted in 4 sacks (I also picked his QB off three times but I even did that with my crap team in week 2). Overall, pleasantly surprised. Now onto the Dolphins to whom I lost 41-17 in the second SC game this season. Ranked 6th. Last edited on 2021-07-07 07:28:15 by RonaldVennegoor |

Since I started doing the Power Ranking, it was clear for me that it would probably serve as nothing more than another entertainment in RZA. And after the results of the first round of the playoffs, this idea is not entirely confirmed: in two games the top-ranked team won and in the other two they did not.
The results and a little analysis beyond the Power Ranking: - Lagos Marines (#13) beat Baltic Stars (#4): winning a game by throwing 6 interceptions is very difficult. - Deventer Devils (#11) beat Girona Dragons (#7): the passing game made the difference. - Oldtown Rooks (#5) beat Ueterlande 49er (#14): winning a game by throwing 4 interceptions is very difficult... but it is possible! - St Pauli Packers (#8) beat The Red Bull Attackers (#9): dominant passing game vs. dominant running game; the passing game won. |

There is no way to make a perfect "real time" rank. Each game is a (different) game. Sometimes we see some playbook mismatches that changes the "natural order". Or a bad day of a QB throwing tons of interceptions. It is hard to foresee what will happen but it is worth trying (and failing).

On the contrary. I like the rankings and they certainly generate forum discussion. Keep up the excellent work my friend. Overall the results still are in line with the rankings as I think top 10 can beat each other on a good day |

We wouldn't improve if we didn't fail occasionally. And even more so when I'm sure that the perfect Power Ranking does not exist. |

There used to be an external site that did match predictions (as in score for the actual game) for all games in RZA, like every competitive game. It created a kind of ELO ranking that was pretty accurate.
One day the site went down and no one was able to contact him. He, and the site, vanished without a trace! I'll actually have a look later to see if I can find the site in the way back machine ... But to reiterate, I love your sheet objectively, I know it's not yours originally but it's a work of Excel art and it's excellent to have all important stats on one row! The ranking is still pretty accurate but it can never be used to predict single games. As statisticians will say: it just gives the likelihood of a victory of over the other but even with 99% win chance there's still a 1% chance of winning! |

That is Determined by the Fact that I have a Power Back, So Therefore I Have my Best O-Linemen in the Center, However It is Objective as I like to specialize my Guys for their Exact Jobs, It gets More Wild in the D-Line as the Nose Tackle is a Sure Stopper of the Run while my Ends are Designed to Push Back the flanks for my Linebackers to Go in and Flatten the QB. It works Especially well Against Bots. So it tends to end Up beingna Victory by 100+ when I face them. When Facing good player teams Things Get a Bit Hairier. Early in the season I have a Better shot than Later on as my Top Players Get burned out pretty Quickly.

Congrats to Dolphins, they were the better team but also took full advantage of my two interceptions and my two turn over on downs, scoring a TD after each one. After leveling score in 3rd Q, I thought an upset might be on the cards but I didn't deserve to win so I'm happy that Dolphins won.
