Game week 2
Hornets vs Hummingbirds : This was a kickers wet dream as the Hornets manage to score 5 field goals to 4 field goals for the Hummingbirds in a 15-12 win. Both defenses protected their redzones very well and gave the offense coaches nightmares. MVP Brendon Harnes K/P - Hornets Hawks vs Oilers : A 2nd quarter display of the Oilers firepower was too much for the Hawks as they won 19 - 38. The hawks faired better in the 2nd half, but the damage was already done and the Oilers just went into cruise mode. MVP Zdenek Bartos TE - Oilers Knights vs Saints : Another 2nd quarter display of power, this time by the Knights as they stomped the Saints to a 32 - 9 win. The Saints lacked any offensive ability and were limited to just 3 field goals. MVP Lars Denisov K - Knights Space Kracken vs Black Panthers : A match of the day game saw 2 power teams lock horns in a titanic struggle for dominance. After 4 quarters it was all square and so the lottery of overtime saw the Space Kraken and Black Panthers go back and forth until a mistake by the Black Panthers gave the Space Kraken a field goal and the win. 19 - 16 MVP Nukri Mikava LB - Space Kraken |

Game week 3
HORNETS VS OILERS This was a shock as the Hornets lose 14 - 27 to a very impressive Oilers team. The Hornets use of just a single QB backfired as he picked up an injury and so the head coach went through the 2nd stringers bench trying to find a replacement. The Oilers used this confusion to progress to the playoffs and kick the Hornets out. MVP - Elsworth Clayton QB - Oilers HAWKS VS HUMMINGBIRDS A close game for 3 quarters and then the Hummingbirds upped a gear and scored 17 points in the 4th quarter to win 14 - 33. The Hawks finished with 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles, which made it harder for them to get a result MVP - Cesar Joyce LB - Hummingbirds KNIGHTS VS BLACK PANTHERS A match of the day game saw the Knights 2nd quarter demolition of the Black Panthers as they win the game 41 - 27. The 3 interceptions by the Black Panthers made a difficult game almost impossible. MVP - Steven Korbel QB - Knights SPACE KRAKEN VS MK SAINTS A close game for 3 quarters then the roar from the crowd "RELEASE THE KRAKEN" was heard by the players and the Space Kraken win the game 34 - 10. The Saints put up a good fight but ran out of steam as the Space Kraken were unrelenting in the 4th quarter. I just saw the Hornets did drop out of the playoffs not by point difference, but by point score, since even the difference was equal (value 1).
Not sure I saw that so far. That's a tough one. |
