To me it seems like the return was a success, and was ruled a touchdown. The only mistake I can see is that the engine thinks the return failed. And this causes all the other issues with this score. I have just no idea how to handle it different than I do, to receive the correct result from the gameplay. And, I do not understand how it could result in a score, which appears in the Drive By Drive and so on. This part of the source code is almost as old as RZA, and my checks in the bug reports database brought no similar report to light. I am kind of ... baffled. To me it seems that ball was fumbled 1-2 yards before line of scrimmage, which is at this case on goaline or in the endzone. Kanar LB got to the ball which was in the endzone (or on goalline which is part of endzone) and he got tackled right away, so that is why return failed. But since that tackle was on goalline or in the endzone it is ruled touchdown by rule. And rule is right. But, how you code it I really don't know 😀😀. From the game aspect everything is fine here. Fumble in the endzone/goalline, recovered by defense, than tackled by offense. TOUCHDOWN!!!! When it happened in my game when my team recovered a fumble in my endzone that should have been touchback instead of safety, but we talked about that for a looong time 😂😂😂 Last edited on 2021-11-10 23:30:08 by Dumbarajko |

Jimmy being tackled is not even necessary. As you said the ball got lost in the end zone and the Def player just have to recover it for the play ending in a TD.
See at the end of This video, the game winning TD happened after a backward fumble recovery in the end zone without any tackle. |

But in this case return failed so I assume it was tackled right away. |
