Hello!

Granted, my LB picked him once, too. But one of the first things I was told when we started this game was "You're a Rookie, do not pass all the time or you'll get picked and lose". Does not seem to apply to every rookie, though.

As a new person to this game, I found that when you start, you can hardly make a yard on the ground so you have to pass. If they haven't improved their RB/FB/OL, they probably have no choice but to pass at the moment.

It's a risk with the INT of course, and some days (bitter experience talking here) it will go really badly, but on a good day they will make yards where otherwise they would make none.

I didn’t bother to scout him because his stats were so low and I recycled a playbook. My guess is that this is a returning manager. Could be a completely new guy that just got it all down quickly though.

I DID scout him and ran into the buzzsaw nonetheless. But I had the same thought about him being a returning manager. It would be pretty impressive if he'd be new and "get" it all this fast... and he's doing things that speak more to the assumption of being "experienced".

Yes, I get that. But I'd guess that he doesn't want to run the ball, because his squad is set-up to pass effectively... and that is working like a charm.

The crazy thing, like Radu mentioned, is, that his Coaches Karma does not reflect any lopsided tactics... so something is working really good there. And I'm still trying to find out what it is

I looked things over and don’t really see a good reason for that either. I have one loss in Elite because of a similar experience. Sometimes you just get screwed.

In your case the opponent had a pretty balanced offence but your defence played awfull. In the Saigon game the QB had 93 pass attempts and only 9 rushing. Agreed on the screwed part, it must happen at least once a season.

You're not wrong, my entire team played like trash in that game. That includes 10 turnovers. TEN.
My prep and playbooks were the same as usual.
Point being, I don't think analyzing it in detail is helpful. I'd just write it off and move on.

Yeap. 100% agree.
Just like in real life, there are games when a team has an awesome outcome and there are games when they play like trash. Just leave it behind and move on to the next one. You can't win them all. This is also what makes RZA great even if it sucks to be on the receiving end of it sometimes.
