Wow! There were some fun games for week 1!
I didn't know that glastonbury had gutted his roster so at first was surprised by the bad loss. Salopian squeezes out a tight win. Fargo good up by 1 with 4 minutes left, then stops Tennessee on a 4th and 3 just outside of field goal range to secure the victory. But The prediction that Aberthaw v Cardiac was match of the day proved accurate. Aberthaw kicked a last minute field goal to tie and send the game to a looong overtime which featured multiple field goal misses, and a failed 4th down attempt inside the 10?!?! Just kick the field goal and win the game at that point! 
I'm afraid I didn't invest time into pre-season predictions, but I'm guessing at a 14-15 wins for my squad. (I know I went 16-0 last time, but had an easier schedule. ) I'm also thinking that I'll win any PD tie-breakers by virtue of having a bot and Schonsucker in my division. (I didn't choose this spot, and there were no other bot teams by the time I got to looking at it. ) Way too early on a championship prediction... Misery over the Jackets in the AC, and Fargo over Tennessee in the NC. Final prediction: Everyone has a fun season, cause Fire is the league to be in!  |

Four seasons in Elite took its toll on us financially so I had to make drastic changes to the playing squad and backroom staff in the run up to this season, otherwise we might not have continued operating for much longer. I took almost 3 million off the squad wage bill and 2 million off the coaches. I'm prepared for a few lean seasons and expecting more hammerings like Braska gave us. It's crazy, I moved divisions to not have an 83 overall as my competition, but I didn't expect 2 teams to drop out of my new division so now I have 2 bots in my division. I know they will fill up as the league goes along, but still.. this was unexpected. Makes for an easier season, but not exactly what I was looking for.
