Review of matchday 13
In the end, it was a clear victory for the Minors. They only made one mistake in defense, which led to a TD for the Panthers, but otherwise the Panthers were tamed. Division victory secured, now the fight for the #1 seed for the playoffs continues. Final score: Ruhrpott Miners 30 @ 10 Paxtang Black Panthers Surprises of matchday 13 Englewood Elite 0 @ 201 Orono Ancient Snappers The final score says it all. Hopping Rabbits 20 @ 23 Leverkusen Leopards The close final score tells the story. Paris Chiefs 20 @ 24 birney's weekenders The close final score tells the story. Preview of matchday 14 May be my last BOT game of this season. |

In Supercup news, I realized today that my boys qualified for the Supercup playoffs, and with two bots left on the schedule, I take a 10-5 record into it. Probably will lose the 1st or 2nd game depending on seeding, but an appearance is a nice morale boost after a tough schedule.

For next gameday, we have a few interesting matches lined up that could impact playoff projections.
Black Habaneros @ Paris Chiefs Should be an easy win for the spicy team, but the Chiefs have managed to play close with higher caliber teams throughout the season. I still expect a Habanero win, but it could be a closer game than team ratings would have us believe. In the end, though, they will be too hot to handle, Habaneros get the nod here. Blatna Jaguars @ Trnava Saints Having just been beaten by the Saints, I know all too well what they are capable of. I honestly expect this to be a blowout in their favor. Caplit e salama @ Cottbus Cobras Two teams at the tops of their respective divisions, I think this will be a hard fought match, but salama will still manage to pull ahead when it counts and could lay down a lot of points on a defense that has a few weak spots. Both teams do have very strong offensive units, so this could be a high scoring game. I pick salama in the end. Doves @ Hopping Rabbits This is going to be a fun one to watch, these two division rivals both have a 10-3 record going into this showdown, the winner will likely win the division as well. When these teams met earlier this season, the Rabbits won 36-34 on the road, now they get home field advantage. The Rabbits also have a 3 game winning streak in the series, dating back to Season 57 when they last lost to the Doves. Given the offense and defense matchups, it is hard to call a winner, but I have to give the edge to the home team, Rabbits win another nail biter of a game. Republicanos de Pirantini @ Derpenstein Devils Oh boy, a team that has improved dramatically as the season has progressed, coming into the Devils Den to take on my still rebuilding team. On paper, I don't like my odds, but given that we played so close against an arguably even better team in the Trnava Saints recently, I have hope. Playing at home gives me a slight confidence boost, and we did win our last meeting 21-14. I think my boys can pull it out, may need a miracle Hail Mary to win. Trnje @ Tokha Tigers This should be another fun game to watch, both teams have underperformed this season, but with similar team ratings and pride on the line, I think they are going to give us a fun fireworks show. I give Trnje the edge even as a road team, solely because of their historical dominance in the series. Look for each team to score at least 30 points in a fast paced shootout. I wish everyone luck this upcoming gameday
Let's set some more playoff teams this week! |

And we've got the other boot of the pair - ORO have just one non-friendly game *not* against a bot. Regarding the score above, I think the highest ever loss of a bot with my team. But I am far from drawing any conclusions with respect to other teams bot scores. We are probably the only team not playing Relaxed in these games. The reason we play Normal is that I think higher intensity means more experience gained. May be I should *check*, before I *think*... |

Many play non-relaxed and it's true, you get more EXP out of those games. But of course also more drain on PC.
The reason on BOT scores high and low are usually heavily depended on turnovers and playbooks. I think you can exploit BOT games by certain plays. If you have such plays just in your regular playbook then this can happen of course also. While a different mix might not lead to such high scores. Doesn't matter, since only the 1st 60 points count. The rest is just stats for the meaningless awards at the end of the season for the players. |

This was my prediction on the season final Standings, with 7 games left to play.

Likely final conference Standings for AC: Leverkusen Leopards 15-1 Trnava Saints 15-1 Hopping Rabbits 13-3 Blatná Jaguars 11-5 Doves 12-4 Orono Ancient Snappers 11-5 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Berlin Racoons 11-5 Cottbus Cobras 10-6 Derpenstein Devils 9-7 Elessar Crows 7-9 Likely final conference Standings for NC: Ruhrpott Miners 16-0 Caplit e salama 15-1 Black Habaneros 13-3 birney's weekenders 12-4 KAFakofers 12-4 Republicanos de Piratini 11-5 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Paxtang Black Panthers 10-6 Tokha Tigers 8-8 Paris Chiefs 7-9 Prague Lions 7-9 Trnje 6-11 In 4 games played since then, only 1 of my picks was wrong, with the Cobras Winning against the Jaguars, where I picked the Jaguars. That means, the Cobras have now the chance to finish 11-5, Winning the division and the Jaguars could end up at 10-6, out of the playoffs. They would simply switch places in my prediction. But 3 games are left to play and I would like to point out the most crucial games left. 2025-03-01 17:00:00 Republicanos de Piratini @ Derpenstein Devils -> pick Piratini The Devils want into the playoffs and have a good shot against the Racoons on season final to beat my prediction, but to jumb the Raccons (who will have 2 BOT games and 1 human game), they need to win here against the Piratini to be save. A loss here will be a Major setback, if not already an elimination from the playoffs because of PD, since the Devils will likely not manage to counter the PD gain with 1 BOT and 2 human teams. Doves @ Hopping Rabbits -> pick Rabbits The winner is likely to take the control of the Division and win it at season final. Both teams have right now the same record and play beside this game sure wins (Doves play 2 BOTs) or very likely wins (Rabbits play a BOT and the new teams Crows). The loser will likely end up at #5 in the playoff seating. 2025-03-04 17:00:00 Republicanos de Piratini @ Black Habaneros -> pick Habaneros The Piratini are on the edge of making the playoffs as #6 teams and any loss will hurt heavily. They have a worse PD than the next projected team in the seatings, the Panthers, so a win here is needed. I did not pick them as the winner and they are still in the mix, but that is only true, if no other upset happens. Means, if they win the week before, this is less important. If they lose, this becomes a playoff game already. The Habaneros are way ahead in PD, so even a loss will not hurt them too much and will not challenge their grap for the division crown and will also not let them drop to #4 in the seatings, so this is more a Piratini related game. 2025-03-08 17:00:00 Berlin Racoons @ Derpenstein Devils -> pick Racoons This could be the deciding game for the playoff spot. According my picks, this has no effect, but if the Devils manage to squeeze out a win more, the game is on. Paxtang Black Panthers @ Ruhrpott Miners -> pick Miners I did pick the Miners in the divisional matchups and therefore the Panthers did drop out of the playoffs. If they manage to upset the Miners here and/or the Piratini do not play as I picked them, the Panthers have a chance to make the playoffs. |

With the crucial games in mind this means, the Doves are now in the driver seat for the division crown. They have only 2 BOT games left so basically they won the division already. Rabbits will make the playoffs likely at #5. The other crucial game, Piratini vs Devils did end according my picks, which is a setback for the Devils playoff hopes. EDIT: I did oversee that Trnje did win against Tigers, which is an upset to my picks. Does not change much. Last edited on 2025-03-05 08:47:00 by jack6 |

Definitely a heartbreaking loss at home against Pirantini, good game to you guys. My boys need to regroup and win out the rest of the season, but even then, the odds are looking like we will miss the playoffs this season. |
