P.S. to anyone reading this... Man, that Fargo Knights/TigerCats matchup should be for a trophy. A shame they meet in the divisionals, but I am really looking forward to that one. Good luck to you as well BoaTek, I'm pretty sure you should take this without too much problem, haha, I got a lot of improvement yet to do on this team. But at least even after 30mil in losses from salary cuts, I'm still in the profit this season, so it's still gonna be a few seasons until I can rebuild the coffers to make any serious runs. |

HAHAHA I'm no master, I'm still trying to learn. After my surgery on the 10th, I'm going to have at least 3 weeks off for recovery so I finally will get to work on a new playbook or 5. I was going to this season, but I didn't have a good QB or RB so I figured I'd just sell off a bunch of high cost players to get salary down. I thought I was tanking.. but with all the bots and a few surprise wins, here we are... lol

Just the fact that we made it further than Kirky 44's made my day. lol I was bent for them choosing MY division, and they won it. But we split the season matches and I outlasted him with a half ass roster. So that actually made me feel good. As I build this team back up, I should be able to overtake him again and regain control of my division.
Be afraid Kirky 44's, be VERY afraid!

What happened to Fire league? We used to blow up the forums, had only a few bots. For one, I know someone in Sea Devils league keeps recruiting up and coming managers from other leagues, I was approached before. Could it be that? We maybe should start recruiting like that?

I was going to put together an email welcoming new managers, setting expectations and offering assistance to get them on their feet. I will message you this weekend. |

I will message you this weekend. Sounds good. I've considered going to another league to test the waters, but Fire has been my home from day one and has been nothing but amazing to me. But I remember being recruited for Sea Devils. Not sure if any other league does that, but I see they stay pretty full. But to your point, I do remember only a few seasons ago when Fire was packed with so many great teams and managers that I thought we were by far the strongest league in the game. But I'm down to assist however I can to help recruit or get other managers to move over. |

Yea that's exactly it. Sea Devils is recruiting hard. They almost had me last year but I decided to stay. New managers have limited information to choose their starting league, but how full the league is was a top priority for me. Fire had the least vacancies when I joined.
So sort of a self perpetuating problem. Once you drop out of top spot it's easier to drop into 3rd, then 4th, etc. unless you are actively recruiting to turn the tides. Personally, I think the idea to remove bottom tiers and keep so many top leagues was not the right call. Would be better for me if I was playing against teams my level instead of crushing bots and losing to established teams. And now that the top leagues are thin, your only decision is to consolidate leagues instead of consolidate divisions of a league. But I'm newer here and I'm sure there were some valid reasons it was done this way. |

Not that I have inside knowledge, because I do not, but there are definitely reasons that Pete can't, and probably should not, whack any of the current D1 leagues. I will say too that I have tremendous respect for Pete's abilities to code, because this site appears to be driven mostly by PHP, or what I like to call unpredictable chaos. The site runs incredibly well, despite the reliance on PHP. I do speculate though that Pete may be limited by PHP and his server setup to some degree. I think I have some solid ideas to get us full again. And now that I know Sea Devils is recruiting from us, gloves are off. I know they are reading this too. In fact, I am pretty sure I know exactly who is reading it. Game on, but know that I do have an ace up my sleeve. I am a software engineer and I solve problems.

Great game Golrath! Way to hang in there and man, what a freaking fourth quarter!!! That was insane! You took some shots. You never let me pull away. I was loving watching it! You definitely got me a few times and gave your team a chance to win. Great game!

Good game Gladatori Roma. Getting 6 sacks and 2 INT's is absolutely bonkers. I don't think I've ever seen my QB dominated like that.
