(7-0) Michigan Weasels 79.9/953 @ (0-7) PATAGONIA RAPTORS 45.2/491 +20 This is not going to be a contest. Apologies in advance to Ghost2 who seems to be checking in on the the RAPTORS every day since their founding on 7/21. The brutal reality of RZA is that it takes 2+ seasons of development to be able to compete with established teams. Take the Weasels, give the 20 and look away. (1-6) Minnesota Minotaurs 67.5/525 @ (1-6) dERBENT CONVICTS 61.3/614 -4 The season 61 playoff dream has ended for these two teams. Pride alone is on the line here. The South vs West battle is currently tied at 3-3. The RZA Predictometer 3000 arrow points to the CONVICTS here with their higher ELO score. Thats wrong. The Minotaurs are jelling as a unit. Last weeks win against the Italian Bears wasn't a fluke. I see a very close game here with a Minotaur victory. Those 4 points are just the icing on the cake. Take the points and the Minnesota Minotaurs. (3-4) Rome Centurions 56.0/567 @ (3-4) Minnesota Silver Foxes 65.8/662 -9.5 You have to hand it to the Silver(s) Foxes. They win a decent amount of games that for all sorts of reasons, they shouldn't and their losses have been to high quality teams (Corsairs, Weasels, Packers, Briusers) However, this matchup is a different matter all together. This is a team they should beat handily. Can they put the hammer down and score a big PD win? Let's hope so. Take Minnesota and give the 9.5 Vancouver Corsairs 72.2/909 @ Manta Rays 74.6/763 +3 As mentioned before the West vs. South inter-division play is tied at 3-3. Both divisions are playing some good ball here at the midpoint of the season but both of these teams stumbled last week with Vancouver losing to the Social Distance Runners while the Rays lost a shocker to the Silver Foxes. This game is crucial for both squads. The winner will hold the #6 wildcard spot. A Corsair win would give them a solid 2 game advantage over any other wildcard contender. A Manta Ray win gets them the #6 seed with the Corsairs virtually tied with them. A Corsair win would give them a chokehold on that #6 seed with a solid 2 game advantage over any other wildcard contender. Long time readers won't be surprised that I'm going with the Canadians here to win this interdivision matchup. Corsairs giving 3. If this was “Bet the North” we would have to investigate. It's not, we won't. I'm starting with the most easiest one. This should be something like a 40:10 Storm @ Foxes The Silver Foxes HC's tactical skills were pitiful last week. Morale is poor, PC us poor, and chances of winning are poor. -> Storm +11 Minotaurs @ RAPTORS I'm watching the developement of the RAPTORS very well. Today he asked me when to promote youth players to the adult roster. Sure he'll win some games in the future, but not today. 50:3 Social Distance Runners @ Michigan Weasels I don't care who wins this as long as one of them is also 10-1 like me after the game. The only 2 teams looking forward to this weeks games are the Vancouver Corsairs and Sheffield Wednesday. If you need explanation as to why, you haven't been paying attention. Let's go Minnesota Minotaurs @ PATAGONIA RAPTORS +8 Take Minnesota and give the 8. The Bull men surprised last week giving the SEA LIONS a run for their money in a close loss. Minnesota evens its record against ALL CAPS teams here. We love you PATAGONIA, just not enough to bet on you yet. Northern Storm @ Minnesota Silver Foxes +8 Yikes! What in the H, E double toothpicks happened last week to the cuddly Foxes? Total breakdown in the game and talking smack before the game. That's a bad combination. Take the Storm giving the 4.5 here. The PC loss from last weeks MOTY will sink the Foxes. Vancouver Corsairs @ Downriver Seals +16 Corsairs all the way. 11-0 Michigan Weasels 78.1/967 @ 4-7 Minnesota Minotaurs69.4/555 +14 Minotaurs crushed the Patagonia Raptors 73-0 last week just like a NC West team should. They rushed for 395 yards while allowing only 40 yards on the ground defensively. QB Alvin Hardy got involved for a modest 244 yards and 5 Td's. In short it was total domination. This week is not going to be like last week for the Minotaurs. Take the Weasels and give the 14. 5-6 Minnesota Silver Foxes 65.3/677 @ 4-7 Italian Bears 58.1/566 +5.5 Can I say I love the Italian Bears? This AC team is getting better by the day and they are still battling for the playoffs. But, the NC WEST is 11-0 by my count against the AC South. Normally I'd be all over Minnesota here if it were not for their all their issues. Bankruptcy, punting glitches, I think plague of locusts or death of firstborns may be next. Da Bears have a shot here. BOLD PREDICTION: The CONVICTS to break their 11 game losing streak. Take the CONVICTS and the 6 points. Fun Fact: Did you know the Minnesota Silver Foxes were the Copenhagen Chargers way back in S55? Kladno Ravens (Bot) @ Minnesota Minotaurs -20 Quite the break for the Minotaurs as the Ravens have just gone bot. Minotaurs could take 3rd place in the West from the falling Foxes. Give the 20 and take the Bull men. 13-0 Michigan Weasels 81/973 @ 5-8Northern Storm 64.1/656 +12 Storm are coming off of two straight losses against the Manta Rays and Social Distance Runners. Not going to get better this week against the Weasels who have the 72 Dolphins in their sights. 5-8Minnesota Silver Foxes 65.9/669 @ 10-3Vancouver Corsairs72.9/917 -10 There was a time when the Foxes could screw with Vancouver but those times are over, The Silver Foxes have taken a step backwards in S61.
