It was some rushed scouting for me but happily got some good players!
Pick #1 Vincenzo Pollack DL. 48.6 str (red) 49.5 spd (red) 40 tw. Lovely stuff Pick #2 Marius Foucault WR. 37 str (yellow) 42 spd (no flag). Special traits: ball manager and sticky fingers. Should train up nicely. Last edited on 2025-06-26 08:50:09 by BillyA |

Rd1: DL Faris Essa (Douglas Cooley) 50 STR, 47.7 SPD, 43.3 TW
Rd2: DL Fabien Rotger (Lamont Duncan) 50 STR, 44.6 SPD, 40.6 TW Needed more beef on the OL and DL plus some faster LBs. Ended up with DL being BPA in both rounds. I'm well stocked there, relatively speaking, for now. Hoping for an OL in rd3. Goal was to build up my trenches first and then develop some high end skill players. Hopefully this works like real football. |

I had both of those guys relatively high on my board. |

Should we make a separate draft thread for next season? I really want to find a way to get the forums more active here so I tried to spark it in this thread.

Rolled the dice on my 3rd round pick and got CB Otar Gogichaishvili who was my 5th pick.. sadly, his speed that I hoped was yellow capped was actually red capped so he's got 43 speed.. great for a CB right? Sadly, with his TW/INT he's really not a fit for any position and will find himself released in short order. Sadly, he's a 4.5 star talent and a 4 star experienced player. I guess I could use him at G or something? lol With that speed, I don't even thing I want him on my DL though. Any suggestions?
Whoever picked up all 3 OL's and the WR ahead of him, I hope you choke on a pigskin this season. LOL jk, good draft guys! |

Rd3: OL Abbas Hossein (Israel Capel) 50 STR, 31.6 SPD, 34.5 TW [Stone Wall]
I think I got one of those 3 linemen. Sadly, I don't eat much pigskin so not many opportunities to choke on it.
I also think I had the other two OL rated ahead of him and the WR right behind him. Really wanted a fast LB this draft, but two 50 STR DL and a 50 STR OL is a solid haul for me. First goal is to win the line of scrimmage and then build the skill players to take advantage of it. |

He was my #1 player on day 2 even, but since I had a few needs and got an OL in the 1st round I couldn't justify taking a 2nd. And my day 2 pick was a good addition to the team so I'm good. But this day 3 guy I got.. I just can't think of a use for him on my team. He doesn't have Speed which eliminates him from most and he has only average IQ and Team Work so I just think he's getting sacked. I put him as a gunner for right now lmao and that's not a position I've ever kept on my roster. |

Reworked my playbook end of last season and seeing some good results. Beat Bounty Hunters from Claymore in a friendly today despite losing turnover battle 4-1 and a 77.7% to 64.7% overall difference.
Not sure if friendly games have the same engine, though. But it would have been a blowout if my QB wouldn't have kept throwing the ball to the other team on our side of the field. I'm debating picking up a veteran QB to try and win some extra games this year. Figured I'd be a punching bag again but reconsidering now. |
