šŸˆ Weekly Review – September 23, 2025
⭐ Game of the Week: Kirky 44’s 24 – 20 Gladiatori Roma

In front of a roaring crowd of 126,129, the Kirky 44’s edged out Gladiatori Roma in what turned into a nail-biting finish. Kirky built an early cushion with 17 first-half points, led by QB Ulrick Toussaint’s steady 220 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Despite a quiet third quarter, the 44’s managed just enough offense in the final frame to stay ahead.

Roma nearly pulled off a stunning comeback, with QBs Igor Biassion and Enric Colomer combining for 250 passing yards and 2 TDs. The fourth quarter belonged to the home team as they rallied for 14 unanswered points, but time ran out before they could complete the upset. This clash had everything—big plays, late drama, and playoff-like intensity—cementing it as our Game of the Week.

šŸŽ– Honorable Mention: Bonaval Acorns 17 – 24 Charleston Battery

Charleston Battery protected their home turf in front of 110,076 fans, pulling away late in a gritty battle with the Bonaval Acorns.

Bonaval’s QB Osvaldo Carrasco carried the offense with 229 yards and 2 touchdowns, but his squad struggled to sustain drives through the middle quarters. Charleston answered with a balanced passing attack, splitting reps between Herman Noble and Harlan Rhodes, who combined for over 200 yards. Despite Noble’s 2 interceptions, Charleston capitalized in the red zone and sealed the win with a strong fourth-quarter push.

This was a hard-fought victory that showcased Charleston’s resilience and depth at the QB position.

šŸ† Runner-Up: Galaktische Kickers 24 – 31 Neroverde

In front of 86,516 fans, Neroverde treated the home crowd to an exciting shootout win over the Galaktische Kickers.

The Kickers relied on a two-QB system with Carlos Brito and C.J. Ruby, who combined for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns, keeping the visitors within striking distance all game. But Neroverde’s offense simply had too many weapons. QB duo Gennaro Eroli and Charley Good threw for 350 combined yards and 3 scores, including clutch completions in the second half to pull ahead.

Neroverde’s ability to trade blows and then finish strong in the fourth quarter made this a statement victory, while the Kickers showed they remain a dangerous opponent who can move the ball on anyone.

Upcoming match of the week picks?

There are a lot of uneven matches this week, but here are a few I think could end up being in the running for game of the week when it's all said and done.

1. Charleston Battery @ Texas Reapers
2. Braska Bangers 09 @ IONS
3. Schonspieler @ Rust Belt Rebels

1- This looks on paper to be the most evenly matched game on the docket this week. Battery are coming off an impressive win and the Reapers haven't yet been challenged. This could be a good test for the Reapers to see if they are ready to compete, or still just pretending.

2- Bangers are the favorites in this one, and I don't think many would argue that. But the IONS have a good enough team to make this an interesting game, and upsets happen all the time. If I had to choose an upset of the week, this would be the game.

3- This is an intriguing match to me. Schonspieler is the veteran team here and as far as a manager presence, by far the more experienced and favored. However, they are going through a complete rebuild and their team OVR is in the 30's, the lowest I've ever seen a team have on paper. They face off against a new manager with a default team and no superstars, but even still, they have the more overall talent on the roster. Will that talent be enough to pull off the win, or will the veteran manager know how to squeeze every ounce of juice out of his skeletal crew roster?

What do you guys think?

I'm gonna go with the Reapers, the Bangers, and Schoen.

The fact they are in the 30's is hilarious to me and I want to believe that they are just a bunch of peewee/middle schoolers out there on the field for them haha.

šŸˆ Game of the Week: Braska Bangers 09 vs IONS

Final Score: Braska Bangers 09 – 37, IONS – 24
Attendance: 125,191

The Braska Bangers 09 came into hostile territory and walked out with a statement victory over IONS. After trailing early in the first quarter, Braska’s dynamic quarterback duo of Achmed Hadad and Zafer Isa steadied the offense and led a balanced aerial attack.

Hadad threw for 157 yards and 3 touchdowns, though his 2 interceptions gave IONS life.

Isa complemented perfectly with 126 yards and a touchdown, finishing with a strong 104.3 passer rating.

IONS quarterback Arif Pieri put up a respectable 210 yards and 2 touchdowns, but Braska’s defense forced him into 2 interceptions and 2 sacks, stalling drives when it mattered most.

The difference came in the fourth quarter: while Braska tacked on 9 more points to seal it, IONS was shut out completely, unable to match the Bangers’ composure down the stretch. Braska leaves this one looking like a true contender.

⚔ Runner-Up Game: Charleston Battery vs Texas Reapers

Final Score: Charleston Battery – 27, Texas Reapers – 16
Attendance: 126,090

In what was billed as a clash of heavyweights, the Charleston Battery came into Texas and handed the Reapers a disappointing home loss.

Charleston showcased depth at quarterback:

Harlan Rhodes was efficient, tossing 2 touchdowns with a 111.2 rating.

Herman Noble added 191 yards and a score of his own, keeping the Reapers’ defense off balance.

On the other side, the Texas Reapers struggled mightily behind quarterback Buster Campbell. Despite throwing for 300 yards, Campbell’s 4 interceptions doomed the Reapers. Every time momentum seemed within reach, a turnover killed it. The Reapers’ coaching staff will surely be re-evaluating their QB room after this one, as Campbell’s decision-making has become a glaring liability.

Charleston’s opportunistic defense turned those mistakes into points, sealing the game with a dominant fourth quarter.

Yeah, that was some bitter ass chocolate down in Texas. I'm ready to rage sack my QB after throwing 4 INTs in that game. What's crazy, is I even reverted to my playbook from 2 seasons ago where my QBs were doing great for this game as a change of pace. So maybe I'm sleeping on that defense, but even against a great defense, 4 INT's is absolutely unacceptable for my team. Once my new WR is up in morale and ready to join the team, I'm sure this will change though.

And for the 2nd season in a row, I get an additional slap in the face after a loss. The team that just beat me, the Battery, botted out today. Just last last season when the best team in the league beat me down, then botted out the next day. I should change my team name to the Reaped by Bot Finales.
