Tomorrow is the day. The Galaxy Bowl this season will take place. San Diego Blitzkrieg expects Bretzfeld Bandits in the Panzer Palace.
Many firsts await us. The Bandits are the first time in the Bowl. SD Blitzkrieg had indeed been 3 times in the bowl, but they was able ti win him only once. But all 3 games they had to play away. So tomorrow is their first Bowl as the home team. Yes, a German team will meet an American team, but the American team carries a German word in their name. And the stadium has half-German names. (SD Blitzkrieg = SD Flash War ... = Panzer Palace = Tank Palace) Therefore, it is useful to learn a little bit German. In the manual you can read, there is no home-field advantage: Homefield Advantage There is a Homefield advantage added to all games exept Friendlies, Friendly Cup games, Relegation games and regular Bowls like the Super Bowl. There is a good chance that the team playing at home gets a 1% advantage to all skills except Physical Condition and Intelligence. You too, Steve, good luck tonight. Now follow the latest news of the Bandits.
The Bandits play since the beginning of the Galaxy 1.1 in the AC East. There they have to play with the Saarbruecken Orcs, Cottonmouth, and since season 4 the Chicago Blues. In their first season in the Galaxy 1.1 (Season 2), they had not reached the playoffs. But from season 3 they were always qualified. However, the Bandits are then ever excreted in the Wild Card Round or in Divisional Final. This season they have managed for the first time to the Galaxy Bowl. This is actually a surprise. But if you look at the final AC standings, then you see that the Bandits are a dominant team. And so I think they have deserved it at Galaxy Bowl to represent the AC. However, in order to allow the Bandits for the Galaxy Bowl have brought their own song. It is the song "Julia und die Räuber" from "Subway to Sally". This song is from today as the anthem of the Bandits. The lyrics is of course in German. But here is the translation into English (I hope I did it correctly) Blood, blood, Bandits are swigging blood. Congrats to Kottan....great job in the red zone!
It's been a magical season (one lose in league/super cup/friendly cup combined), but it would have been nice to have one more TD! Oh well, next season we'll come back stronger and challenge for the title again... Steve SD Blitz |
