Let me introduce you to a new long term project: THE THUNDER HALL OF FAME.

Since RZA is now in its eight season, some players have already truly illustrous careers. We have a first generation of players who are now retiring at the top of diverse all time lists, an we slowly get a feel for what makes a great career. So I thought, why not start a Hall of Fame to comemmorate those great guys who dominanted the game in their time and region.

I would suggest the following rules for the The Thunder Hall of Fame:

- Only retired players are eligible to be inducted.
- Players from teams that went bot are eligible too if they went one whole season without reappearing on the TM as a free agent.
- Only accomplishments in the Thunder region are counted (i.e. if a player transfered from the Dragons to the Thunder in the middle of his career, only the Thunder years are taken into account)
- When looking at the stats, League games should have more weight because of the level of competition, but SC (and CoC) will of course be looked at too.

I suggest the following procedure:

- Players can get suggested by anyone in this thread.
- Please only suggest players that played for a Thunder team and dominated their position in some form or another for a period of time.
- I will then research those players accomplishments and make a HOF Debate Card. It will look like this:

Here I just picked one possible candidate to illustrate. (I personally think this specific player did not to do enough to qualify, but he is right now the most stats-heavy quasi-retired QB in the region, so I picked him. Also note that this guy actually would not be eligible, since he did not retire, but his team went bot at the end of ther last season, so if he does not show up on the TM as a free agent during Season 8, he would become eligible in the beginning of the next season.)

- There will be a specific thread in the forum, where i will post the HOF Debate Card and where we can discuss if that player should get inducted.
- A simple Yes-No-Poll in that thread, when all arguments are said and done, decides if the player gets in or not.
- Maybe somebody, who is good at graphic design, can draw up a bust for the player after he gets inducted

What do you guys think?

Yeah it works now and i really like the whole approach.

Of course, it is pretty much work to do and without decent response in the needed threads it may look kind of arbitrary...but i of course will do my very best to participate!

I really like this idea and since it seems like no one wants to make the first suggestion I guess I'll make one. Marek Kropácek had 1069 tackles (#5 in Thunder div1 history) 53 sacks for 415 yards, 30 forced fumbles, and 9 defensive TDs while playing for Slavia Pankrác. Here are his CAREER STATS for anyone who wants to check him out. Does Marek Kropácek deserve to be the first inductee to the Thunder Hall of Fame?

My second nomination to the Thunder Hall of Fame is Tyson Cyr, a receiver for the South Georgia Red Beavers. During his career he caught 410 passes for 9049 yards(#5 in Thunder Div1 history), scored 151 TDs(also #5 in Thunder Div1 history), while averaging 22.1 yards per catch. His CAREER STATS can be found here.

Tyson Cyr was a work horse for my team. Glad to see him get some recognition!

I agree this is a great idea and to help wisengrund with his searches it might be advisable to post recently retired, including season 8, players, who each manager feels could be a possible HoF inductee so he can have a brief look at their stats to put forward for all to vote on.

Also if we are to do this maybe we should limit the number of inductees per season, like the NFL.

To kick off I have an OL retiring this season, who I wish to be considered.

In my opinion the biggest thing for an OL is successful block %. And having looked at his carreer I believe his successful block % is to low having around the low 70% when in the top flight and an all time low in his career of 55% in season 8.
