thanks to your public interface that allow to know the player lineup play by play under some suppositions namely try to guess the DB who is covering the receiver (CB/L vs WR/R, CB/R vs WR/L for outside passing and OLB/R or CB/R1 vs WR/L1 and OLB/L or CB/L1 vs WR/R1 for inside passing ... and so on ...) is possible to obtain the opposite QB rating vs your own DB. Of course it is not fully true because we do not know exactly how the engine works but this is what we normally call "better than nothing" ... It would be possibile to add in the play by play log a little word after the word PASS (pass medium or pass deep) accordignly with the playbook in case of pass medium and pass deep ? In this way we could be more precide in our guessings and evaluete our QB rating in all the three situation (pass, pass medium, pass deep) thanks in any case regards pj |

I am sorry, but his is not possible at the moment. It is related to the way the playbyplay output was generated.

I see that in the play by play log in case of interception is reported the number of air yards of the pass toward the intendend receiver. in the example "he passes outer right for 11 yards to him" it would be possible put in the play by play log this information also for complete passes in order to know AirYds and YaC for every passing play? Of course I cannot know if it is possibile from the point of view of the code nor the effort nor if this is out of scope for a strategic choise so you can answer simply no. thanks anyway (I know you are doing already a lot to give us fun!) |

I have such a Yards after Catch thing running behind the scenes for seasons, but was not able to determine the YAC always the right way. This is why the answer to your request has to be no for the moment. Sorry.

Are people using a lot of medium and long passes?
