The playoffs are fast approaching, and the playoff race remains tight with some key games still needing to be played.
In the AC, the BoneCrushers sit at the #1 seed, and with a favorable last two games, appear to have that spot locked up. The battle for second place sits at a three way tie at the moment, with the Neuseen Buccaneers, Dolphins Pisa, and Green Bay Hackers all with a 12-2 record and all looking for a first-round bye come playoff time. Next gameday will likely determine the final playoff standings, with the Buccaneers looking at a tough matchup against the Watford Hornets, who lead the NC, and the Dolphins and the Hackers facing off at Lambeau Supercomputer. The race for the top of the NC remains tight as well. The Watford Hornets are currently #1 with an impressive 13-1 record. A test against the Buccaneers next week will give us a chance to see just how tough this team is. Misawa, Sacko Del Toros, and Fargo Knights are all fighting for the #2 seed at 12-2 records currently. This battle may come to tiebreakers to determine seed, as all of these teams could easily win out. The Andorran Castellers are right on their heels with an 11-3 record. We are going to have an exciting finish to the regular season in Fire 1! A single slip-up may cost a team an entire game and a first round bye! Be ready or be beaten! |

Nice to see some of the newer teams having so much success this season in Fire. There are a lot of bots, but the new teams are challenging the veterans for playoff spots. Looking forward to see who comes up to challenge us in Elite next season.
It has been a pretty disappointing season for my; I figured I had a very good shot at making the playoffs for the first time, but that evaporated with some terrible showings in winnable games. So I fired my retiring HC and brought in his replacement yesterday so I could rebuild team chemistry for next season. And somehow, with depleted morale and chemistry and playing my backup QB with a new head coach, I managed my first ever win against Wilmersdorf Wadenbeisser. The playoffs remain a longshot, as I need another win and some help, but now that I'm 1-14 against Holly (or something like that), I can't be as upset about the season. And, as always, good luck to Holly in the playoffs...unless I imagine to sneak in |
