Man I almost beat a top 20 team today. Would have been my first elite team victory. GG to them. Back to the drawing board as its apparent that something in the Osta-Offense isnt right

There was a chance to win or at least tie on last drive but we seemed to not only not do the two minute drill I thought I had installed but just the opposite. I think we thought we had the lead as we casually ran the clock out on ourselves.

Mistakes that will be refined. This is a big stepping season for my squad as I thought it might be. With mistakes like these it may not show in the final ranks but we are working the kinks out week to week . Hopefully we will get it together to perhaps make a late run with some of Fire's Finest. And if not ..the growth spurt the "baby sharks" are going through will hopefully have us full sized and ready to contend next season.

Having a absolute blast playing & Learning W/ you Gentlemen either way. Thank you guys for having me. Go Fire!

Daddy Shark Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do

Go get 'em!

I remember how I felt when my recently promoted to Fire 1 team took a crap all over The Stockholm Cruel Kings. I had no business winning that game, but damn, it felt good.

My experience beating the Neuseen Buccaneers was similar. I was greatly outmatched but somehow managed to pull of the victory (ironically, it was because one of his former players that picked off his quarterback multiple times to help seal the game for me). That first win against a bigger opponent really feels good.

yes, they say the Summer Olympics will be in 2021, and needless to say, I'm looking forward to those days...

Badgers' Brutal Power Rankings for Week 7:

1. Neuseen Buccaneers, 6-0, - - . These guys put a beatdown on the Storm today. No surprise that they remain at the top.

2. Lyon Eagles, 7-0, - - . These guys continue to stay hot. Let's just hope that they don't get so hot that their wings start to burn up and then fall off.

3. Misawa, 7-0, +1. Bye weeks jump Misawa up to the #3 spot in the rankings. Hopefully the morale isn't too low in Tokyo because of news of the Olympics.

4. Fargo Knights, 5-1, -1. The Knights are still a very scary team, and just because a bye week moves them down in the standings don't blow them off.

5. BoneCrushers, 6-0, - - . The BoneCrushers lived up to their name today, putting a beatdown on Bluebombs today. They'll need to keep from crushing their own bones to prove that they are a real playoff threat.

6. Green Bay Hackers, 5-1, - - . The Hackers may have had a bye this week, but we were far from lazy, using our professional hacking skills to pull off a 24-23 victory against the Istanbul Whitings. That was a fun game; my next QB is a product of that system, so I'm glad that they were able to put up a good fight.

7. Maykop Blues, 6-1, - - . A bye week from the TigerCats is the only thing keeping the Blues in this spot. The Blues looked more like the Non-Existents today, barely sneaking past the Gamblers. The slip begins.

8. TigerCats, 3-3, - - . The Cats had a little cat-nap today. Kind of a cold day for a bye week, especially because I'm guessing that Canada was colder than Minnesota today.

9. Sacko Del Toros, 5-1, - - . I hope that your Toros de la Defensa are out in the pasture when my Hackers host your team. Not that I'm worried; brains have dominated brawn for thousands of years now.

10. Hainaut Gamecocks, 5-1, - - . If the Gamecocks don't become a dominant force in Fire in the next few seasons, expect a decline when the newbies have mature teams. These guys won't have a chance to compete then.

11. Pitcairn Bounty Mutineers, 4-2, - - . Barely scraping past the Acorns are going to be enough to keep the Mutineers up this high. God, I can't wait until the new teams mature. Then these rankings will get really interesting.

12. Bluebombs, 4-3, - - . A weird mix of losses keeps the Bluebombs here, but on a precarious perch. A little wind and these guys go tumbling off the cliff and into debt.

13. BETIS SANPOL, 3-3, - - . They lost today, but a win from the Castellers isn't enough to move these guys down in the rankings. Will be interesting to see how 11-15 changes over the course of this season and future seasons.

14. Andorran Castellers, 3-4, +1. The Castellers' inconsistency keeps them from being higher in the power rankings. If they can get it together on a regular basis, these guys can be scary.

15. San Antonio Storm, 3-4, -1. The quality of the team they played in the Buccaneers keeps the Storm from plummeting further in the rankings.

16. Novosibirisk Lions, 3-3, - - . Quality win for the Lions today. It won't be long before they make a big jump.

17. The TITANS, 4-3, - - . These guys remain in the mode of mediocrity until their stadium is fully built. Expect them to remain here for a while.

18. Carbon Bay Baby Sharks, 3-4, - - . Thanks for choosing this name @Osta9er. I'm enjoying being able to bash you with so little effort. The Baby Sharks cried a little today, and that was enough to bash a bot.

19. RiverCity Gamblers, 3-4, - - . The Gamblers put up a valiant fight against the Blues today. It won't be long until the script is flipped on that game. You're building nicely, but a big stadium would help greatly.

20. GLADIATORI ROMA, 4-3, - - . The Gladiators were the victims of the colosseum today. Meh, they're used to it by now.

21. Arsago Seprio Boars, 2-5, - - . You know, as far as animals go, pigs haven't usually been the most successful mascots. Maybe the Arsago Seprio part is like some superfood that they're given. I'm not convinced.

22. Dolphins Pisa, 3-4, +1. A rare win for the Dolphins today. We'll see if they can do anything with that.

23. Venice Winged Lions, 1-5, -1. Growing pains for a new team. These guys will make themselves heard in the relatively near future though.

24. Bonaval Acorns, 1-5, - - . You'd think a team that's been around since season 1 would have more success than this, but who knows? Maybe j_airo likes to lose.

25. neroverde, 2-5, - - . Sorry, but a win against the worst team in the league isn't going to do much for your resume. Tbh I consider that a bot game. Way to beat a bot.

26. Schönspieler, 2-4, - - . I will cheer when the time comes that Schönspieler finally gets his act together and gets out of the bottom spot. I'll probably have to wait a while, though; who knows, maybe I'll die waiting?

Feels kinda weird to be doing power rankings without any responses in between...

1. Neuseen Buccaneers, 7-0, - -
2. Lyon Eagles, 8-0, - -
3. Fargo Knights, 6-1, +1
4. Misawa, 8-0, -1
5. BoneCrushers, 7-0, - -
6. TigerCats, 4-3, +2
7. Maykop Blues, 6-1, - -
8. Green Bay Hackers, 5-2, -2
9. Sacko Del Toros, 6-1, - -
10. Hainaut Gamecocks, 6-1, - -
11. Pitcairn Bounty Mutineers, 5-2, - -
12. Bluebombs, 4-3, - -
13. Andorran Castellers, 3-5, +1
14. BETIS SANPOL, 3-4, -1
15. Novosibirsk Lions, 4-3, +1
16. San Antonio "Puffy White Clouds", 3-5, -1
17.The TITANS, 4-3, - -
18. Carbon Bay Baby Sharks, 3-5, - -
19.GLADIATORI ROMA, 4-3, +1
20. RiverCity Gamblers, 3-5, -1
21.Dolphins Pisa, 4-4, +1
22. Arsago Seprio Boars, 2-6, -1
23. neroverde, 3-5, +2
24. Bonaval Acorns, 2-5, - -
25. Venice Winged Lions, 1-6, -2
26. Schönspieler, 2-5, - -

A few key takeaways from Week 8:
1. The new teams are coming back down to earth. They had some success early, but now we're seeing rankings closer to what we originally expected.
2. The Novosibirsk Lions are making huge leaps and bounds. Their losses are against top-tier teams, and they have taken care of business against teams their level and worse, including one impressive beatdown on the Gamecocks.
3. The TigerCats have completed what is seeming to be an annual split between skeetz's team and mine. That is one series where it seems to be better to be the road team.
4. Playbook concerns are arising with my own team, as poor results with my once-unstoppable playbook start to add up. Might be time for a change.
5. Sleeper team: Sacko Del Toros. Watch out. These guys are better than you think.

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves in this time! GO FIRE!
