Only to be swiftly rejected back to d1 by The Pirates and Malones. |

Okay! Playoff time is here, which means really bad predictions are incoming!
I got 9 of the playoff teams correct in my preseason guesses, but if things go anything like my postseason guesses for season 40, then this will be very incorrect... or filled with 
AC 1.Bridges 2.Ticats 3.Kids over 5.Magpies 4.Lions over 6. Rome 1.Bridges over 4.Lions 3.Kids over 2. Ticats 1.Bridges over 3.Kids NC 1.Pirates 2.DC 6.Runners over 3.Bobbers 5.Malones over 4.Blitz 1.Pirates over 6.Runners 2.DC over 5.Malones 2.DC over 1.Pirates REMATCH! Championship 2.DC over 1.Bridges Good luck everyone and with any of my own luck I'll be able to rank myself at the bottom again for next season! |

In all likelihood less and less people will be reading ou entries and watch the matches. But they will miss the best part of the show.
2021-01-19 18:00 Wildcard Playoff BobBoy Magpies  vs. Comeback Kids
The Kids won twice this season and under normal circumstances it looks very likely that they would add a third win on Tuesday. But mark ups his timeouts and this is never a good sign. It seems he only logged in once on January 10 to avoid his team being canceled. If he doesn't check in and doesn't change his playbook, dell-g could anticipate most of the plays. Magpies win. Home Malones vs. San Diego Blitz
Before their first encounter in the regular season, Rufio wondered if the Malones were the real thing. They proved to be the real thing, beating the Blitz 20-16. But they played at home. In San Diego it will be a different kind of ballgame. San Diego goes through. Rome Centurions vs. Diorite Lions
As in the other two matches, there is no clear favorite in this one either. I could argue either way but you would see that I am not convinced of any choice. In case of doubt, go with the home team. Then again, do you remember how much money and fingers I lost last season betting against the Centurions ? After writing and rewriting this last sentence three times, here it is : Centurions march on. Social Distance Runners vs. Chelt Nam Bobbers
First argument fo the Bobbers : Of all playoff teams the Bobbers have the best offense AND the best defense if we go by points. The Runners have the second worst defense and the fourth best offense. Second argument : If I bet on my team and this gives me the fourth wrong prediction out of four matches, even myself will stop to respect myself. But if this wrong prediction was sweetened by a surprising win, I believe I could find a hint of a smile anyway. Bobbers go to the divisional playoffs. For all those of you who are not lying on a beach enjoying your offseason, what do you think ? |

I'd be surprised if anyone stops Salt City Pirates from winning it all this year. The wild card games should be good. Worth noting, the Blitz have a morale hit after today...could be a deciding factor.
