Hi Pete,
I just signed a player this morning. Id 100779605. Instead of going to the Senior squad as it should have, he went to the youth academy. Since your team uses the contract mode you are allowed to enter negotiations with this player. On successful negotiation the player will enter your Senior Team no matter of his age. Would you mind manually transfer him to my senior squad please? |

I am quite sure the page told you something different at the time you were placing that bid. It told you it would mvoe the player to the academy, as long as spots are available. Only if no spot was found, the player would move to the team. If in doubt, the pages hints overrule the manual. Please read those hints to acoid future trouble. The sentence from the manual is an overall sentence, which does not list the exception for 20ys old players or younger.

I signed two this season (both 20 years) and both went to Youth academy. One is still there and one I transferred to senior team with free ticket that is available for couple of weeks after the transfer. |

that is the usual behavior, as long as there is a spot in the academy.

I think the expectation was that (as far as I understood the bug description) the players was not bought on regular procedure (bidding and then transfering him in case of a won auction) but it was an instant contract negotiation and in THAT case, since you did basically made a playing contract with him, he goes to senior squad, instead of going to youth acadamy.
I'm I wrong? If that's the case, I can understand the report. Not sure the expectation is OK, I think there are arguments for both ways. |

My understanding is same as Jack6's. Players signed directly, and not won in bid, go directly to senior team.
Within the first week, I believe that players acquired from TM that go to the YA are supposed to be able to be promoted without using one of the season's available promotions from the YA, though. I haven't done that since the early seasons of my team so hopefully I'm not misremembering. |

I confirm I did sign the player without bidding on him. If he was uncapped, I would have been thrilled.

Pete this is what it says on a 20 year old Free Agent without a bid on him in the last 24 hours before his auction deadline, but I do not see the same message for Free Agents under the age of 20 in the same situation.
