What type of player does everyone like to put at safety in terms of physicals and intelligence/teamwork?
Do you prefer to use a linebacker type or cornerback type player? Do you find track star trait to be a necessity? Safeties don't seem to be involved a lot unless they're saving a touchdown or blowing the chance to do so, so I don't want to waste a good player there, but it clearly can't be someone terrible either. |

My rusty 2 cents: For me "the ideal" SF would be 35 plus intelligence. Decent combo of speed and strength with the " Sure tackler" trait and over 3.5 experience. Jack's guide I believe mentioned moving aging LB's there to make playing time for younger LB's. Could work for CB's also I reckon. I'm leaning towards placing those with LB qualities but lower talent there, so there wage doesn't look bloated compared to the stats they recieve. |

I do usually put players with least STR of my YA players at SF and WR, hopefully over 40, but not always possible.
SPE is a must to be 45+. INT should be 35+, better 40+ Traits are OK, but not a really a criteria, just bonus. |

For me SF is one of the more positions due to the fact that missing a tackle here usually means a long gain or TD. These things changes games.
It is crap to waste a good player here but for me it's totally worth it. It's like a very expensive lock. A lot of money for nothing, it seems, until one time the burglar can't get in and the money has been earned This is reason why I also have a SF coach as well. Without this coach I kept up giving big plays. |
