Do safties cause fumbles, can't recall every seeing one?

Cheers Yes they do. 11:44 1 and 10 to go on opp 18, Cristobal Hurst (OC) snaps the ball to Johannes Miko (QB), who hands off to Dusty Coward (HB/C), this seems to be a run over the left guard, Wa l t e r Bassi (FS/C) goes for the blitz, Pierre Sperry (TE/L) blocks, Dusty Coward (HB/C) fumbles, Wa l t e r Bassi (FS/C) can recover the ball (Big I formation vs. 5-3-3) more In the game log is reported the SF forced the fumble and recovered it. Supposing and hoping there have not been players position switch since then... You can find 4 SF int over a total of 457 interceptions and 2 SF fumble forced over a total of 116 fumbles |

I have 3 senior SFs aged 31, 30, 31 Their career INTs are 4,5,3
I think that supports the general conclusion that SFs do not catch many. I had even spent time on training catching for these guys. Seems they were not very good at their lessons  |

Intercepting is not like catching
The QB is supposed to throw to his teammates WR/TE

My guess is you'll only see safety Ints on deep throws, and that's why there's so few? I suppose one way to check would be peeking at the distance on those rare SF Ints.
But I've always assumed that's why there's only a handful, since *most* managers will never throw deep distance, except in the most desperate of late game situations? |

I had only two (both in my favour luckily) 1 in S36 I-formation vs 3-3-4 1&10 FS int 1 in S38 SG4WR vs 3-3-5 3&17 FS int SF int are so rare that trying to make a statistics seems impossible.
