Glad to pick up my first win of the season today against the Eagles. We gave up an 80yd TD pass and 2 INTs but managed to get 2 Safeties and make some crucial stops on D.

We beat the Shotgun Racoons after a nervous 1st quarter where we went 17 points down. A good performance in the 2nd and 4th quarters saw the defence assert its dominance.
A solid performance and could be a good omen for the coming season.  |

Here are my way too early predictions for season 33
AC East Torchwood finished second last season, and after their strong week 1 showing, I believe they will secure the division title. Spaceballs will challenge them, but in the end Torchwood is my favorite to win it. Predicted standings: Torchwood Spaceballs Little Town Eagles Pittsburgh Steelers AC North It is hard to pick against my team, and coming off of three straight division titles, I have to pick my Gators to win the division again. Torroles will be a challenge this year, but I believe I can edge them out for the title. Predicted standings: Florida Gators Torroles HardRock Larry Claymores X T 3 Survivor Villains AC South Paxtang will win their division, hands down. Nothing will be surprising about this division Predicted Standings: Paxtang Black Panthers Enfordia Saint Leo University Lions Wolves AC West This division is so hard to predict, most of the teams have great potential, and realistically any of them could win it. I think by the end, Strasbourg will have the edge and take home the trophy again. Predicted Standings: Strasbourg Bretzels RiverCity Fire Knights Dijon Behemoth NC East The Houston Cougars, who I had initially thought would take the title, were smashed in the opening game. They have plenty of time to come back, but I think the title will land elsewhere at this moment. Hammaburg Blue Devils are slightly favored now. Predcited Standings Hammaburg Blue Devils Houston Cougars SiraPatra_Warrior Veganburgh Victors NC North SARMIS has made a strong case to take the division title, and as such, they are the way too early favorite to take home the trophy. Newhouse Eagles will challenge, and I think this will be a tight race. Predicted Standings SARMIS Newhouse Eagles Newcastle Stags New Jersey Generals NC South This division is so hard to pick, any one of them could take it. Based on strength of schedule and first game performances, Berinsfield is my favorite to win, but Albuquerque Dukes will be a strong challenger. Predicted standings: Berinsfield Hornets Albuquerque Dukes Shoulderiding Racoons II Panthers Dusseldorf NC West Could the Killer Bees surprise the league by winning the division? Maybe not, but I think they will be more of a challenge than in previous seasons. Sadly, it wont be enough to overcome the Valencia Eagles. Oh man, the Eagles did fall BOT. Why do Players fall BOT so early in the newer days?
The youngest Team right now winning a Conference Championship is now Hammaburg from Season 23. All other Teams of same age or newer went BOT! |

Your division has put out some of the best teams in the conference history, so winning it is always a major accomplishment. Best of luck! |

I am even more glad that I won against the Eagles now! This continues to annoy me that one can play a team early in the season (and often lose) then they go bot and just fall like a pack of cards. This is not realistic. When you look at all the NFL teams that sack their coaches - and they don't just fall apart. As for Spaceballs - yes, our games will always be close. It seems the only good thing about Eagles going bot is that it reduces 3 strong teams in the division to only 2. Hopefully this will give the Steelers some impetus and help to rise up and build towards challenging - so once again we have 3 strong teams in the division
It woud be really good if the leagues were realigned to give a spread of strength. Whilst that might make it easy for the strongest team to dominate it might help one of the others to at least get a winning season/ wild card spot. This may motivate/help them to improve as they could focus against one team at a time. |

Yeah, it would be better if a team without a manager would continue to play as it was playing and turn to bot on a season rollover. That would be fair to everyone who has to face such a team. Having 3 strong teams in a division is of course very challenging, but it helped me to learn a lot playing against you and Secret Air Service. For the past three seasons AC East took the both wild card spots, so at least someone else will get one this season. Unless Steelers decide to hire some coaches and do some serious damage .
At the next season rollover it will be possible to switch the divisions, so that'll probably will spread the stronger teams better across the divisions. |
