in Germany, toilet paper and pasta is out of stock. A well know joke these days is to provide recipees what you could do with all the pasta AND toilet paper...

Thanks both of you
I live on the region with more affected people and at the moment we are out of hand sanitizer and face masks.
For all the other goods the supply chain is working as usual.

No worries. Masks (the cheap stuff) cannot protect you, and sanitizer does not really work against viruses

as PJravens says, beds are limited and the most serious cases are "sacrificed" as in wartime.

I hope that the prevention system in the rest of Europe is at least as effective as in Italy. it is not a problem because it is a stronger influence, but the older and weaker affected people will have major respiratory problems and will collapse the intensive care units.

So if everybody stopped working or working from home?

I most of the deaths mostly the elderly?

for the next 2 weeks, all activities are stopped except for emergency services, pharmacies, food distributors and essential activities for the country (who can work from home.).if they find you on the street you must justify the reason for your work or be directed to the food distributor in your neighborhood.

it is recommended to avoid contact with anyone, especially with people who are already sick and elderly because if in serious conditions they would hardly exceed intensive care. the virus attacks anyone, even young people.

these drastic measures will ensure better management of the health emergency in hospitals that have been working wonderfully without breaks for several weeks.

we do not live with panic, the real emergency is inside the hospitals, but we want to overcome the peak of diffusion as soon as possible and return to normal life and work!

From Newspaper La repubblica 10th of March (Total Affected in Italy 7.985 9th March) now 12.462 after only two days.

Death
below age 60 1%
from 60 -> 69 10%
from 70 -> 79 31%
from 80 -> 89 44%
older than 90 14%

This is true until the health system is heavily stressed but still working.

People in Intensive Care therapy
below age 25 0%
from 25 -> 49 8%
from 50 -> 64 33%
from 65 -> 74 37%
older than 75 22%

If the health system would collapse not only the elderly would be in danger.
And not only the people affected by COVID-19 would start to die more than usual.
Imagine for example a teenager that had a car accident and needs an intensive care unit...

So in Italy, do you know lots of people that have contracted the virus?

It seems like in most places, they are resigned to the fact that 50-70% of the people will eventually get it, but they are trying to slow the spread such that the healthcare system is not overwhelmed.

For a bot team, the San Diego Hurricanes are pretty darn tough. You've been warned, Galaxy 1!! I just spent an entire cell phone battery charge trying to figure out how my o-line could only squeak out a mere 2 yard rushing average with an up and coming stud like Windgate carrying the ball. Granted, they are a young and ill-trained group, but I felt they should have done better against a bot team. Well, that bot is no slouch. We rank in the mid 60's while the Hurricanes threaten our league with a rating in the 70's. We were lucky to eek out a 20-7 win by the skin of our teeth with a last minute pick 6 to seal the deal. Exciting way to start Season 38.
