Hello all folks and welcome to S38!

Draft chat can be held here: Draft 38 Thunder 1

Please pay into Mediacenter if you have the money as it is free money. If you are new-ish unsure about your financial situation ask here to PM me for advice.

So with that being said we are here at S38. I am gonna see if I can restart the Thunder Outsider newsletter I created a few seasons back. I tried to take that idea to RZA as a whole but failed miserably so back to familiar grounds.

However I could also write a blog about my team this season. A behind the screens look, a bit like the Hard Knocks or All or Nothing series about NFL teams.

What would you prefer?

And finally what are your hopes for the season. My goal is to make it at least to the Conference Championships. A high bar indeed but it needs to be set for a team with 4.8 mill salary!

This season will be frustrating. Most of my team regular players are returning and have improved, but the NC South (Inbhir Narann, Totoras Patriots, Kokomo Mantis) is by far the toughest division in Thunder.

To make matters worst outside these 6 divisional matchups, I have the Istanbul Whitings, Boonley Bulldozers, Landru Athletics, Barossa Bulldogs, Ridge City Frogs, Amersfoort Alligators, and Willemstad Bridges on my schedule.
This spells 3 maybe 4 wins total.

BUT......

The P.J. Myers era will be underway. No longer stashed away in the youth academy, the 34 million dollar investment will start as a rookie QB with red caps of 49.2 strength, 49.7 speed, 47.5 intelligence, and a "strong-arm " trait.

He's been given a 5-year franchise tag to start aggressive training early in his career. Having built the defense and o-line in recent seasons, this was the final piece to the "initial roster'. Spending on the transfer market will be minimum from here on out.

But the future looks bright indeed!

Good luck to all this season.

The NC West is wide open this year after Granville Skunks went bot in Elite, replaced Jetto, and then Skunks bot flushed out of Thunder 1. That made my team the most senior team in the division, and it was started up less than 6 months ago. That's a pretty big difference from some of the divisions we have.

That is indeed a really excellent prospect. You don't wanna sit him for one more season? Cory Gasana is slighty better due to his exp. Up to you of course :-) Perhaps best to start the rookie day 1 indeed otherwise the leading story following each loss in the local news will be "When will Kevin start Myers!?"

That is a crazy turn of events indeed. Skunks obviously just wanted to reach the top and nothing else.

You have the opposite luck it seems of Vicious Attack Dogs (see previous post).

One warning though: watch out for my buddy Waukesha Wolverines, I have an advisory position on their staff

I thought about sitting him, but I've seen enough of Cory Gasana passing it to the opposition at critical moments that turned the tides of games. 3 fewer interceptions by him last season and I probably make the playoffs.

Kevin, in our division, I am not sure I can beat you this season, so I will vote for #2, Landru vs Rome
