It has arrived! The draft is upcoming and the media center needs your pledge. Since most draft pick have very few impact moments on their rookie season, may I ask beforehand....

What are your expectations for this coming season?

Who do you predict will be headed to the Elite?

What would qualify for a failed season by you?

Kevin, I would have to say that I expect to be one of the teams that looks to be in contention for the Elite league promotion. I got to the Conference championship last season and was only 6 points away from going to the Elite league.

This season will be tough though. Norfolk Dumplings dropping into the NC, along with Landru Athletics, Amersfoot Alligators, RC Frogs, Willamstad Bridges, Spitting Llamas, Norfolk Destroyers, and anyone in the NC South are all going to be contenders to make it to the Elite next season. (that is a list of 11 teams that are just contenders from the start). Valiant Pinoys could be the 12th team, so this is going to be a great year in the NC!!!!!

You asked what would be a failed season, and I would say not making the playoffs on my part. It is always possible to not make the playoffs, especially in our Division, so maybe that is not a failed season since our division is really tough.

I'm hoping to make it to the playoffs and then let's see what happens from there.

The standard at the top across Thunder is very even and there are probably 10 teams with a realistic chance of promotion - people are going to have to work hard to get the results they need

A failed season for me would to see Thunder as a league not compete well against the other leagues. If we want to be the best then:
1) we need to have a high mediacentre payment % (more free money)
2) ensure that Thunder teams are relevant at the later stages of Supercup and CoC
3) ensure that when Thunder teams get to Elite they are in a position to build on further and win the thing

C'mon on THUNDER !!!!!!!

Don't include me in any predictions to getting to the Elite League, as I am not interested in playing there. My target, as usual, is 8-8 or better and if I make the play offs the extra cash will be gladly received, but unless someone tanks on me in those play offs that is as far as I will get.

Bovakian, I know what you mean about playing in the Elite League. That is one tough league, and lots of losses occur there for any new team heading that way. I do want to give it one shot to see how my team performs, but with all of my older players now, this may be one of my better seasons. If I do make it to Elite next year, it will be a one and done with potentially 0 wins there. That will be tough for sure since all those teams up there are setup really well and know how to scout opponents really well.

Some of those guys up there spend hours upon hours just looking over plays from games and setup their defense if they see you run a certain play on a certain down in a certain quarter. Heck....I have seen that in the Supercup, so I know how they do it! I will never spend as much time as they do scouting like that, but it would be nice to have the Trophy someday in making it there.

The Bridges hope to return to the playoffs, any win there will be considered a bonus. We overachieved last season, repeating that exact season would be considered a major success.

There are more good options than there are playoff spots, but if forced to pick I'll go with Wolflings and Kokomo facing off in the bowl.

For me, expectations are finishing better than 6-10 somehow. A disappointment would be finishing with a worse record than last season.

A few results from last season.... all looses:
@ Istanbul Whitings 23-21
@ RC Frogs 27-20
@ Boonley Bulldozers 26-23
@ Totoras Patriots 24-21
vs Kokomo Mantis 34-31
@ Willemstad Bridges 35-34

I agree there are plenty of top teams that could make elite. I would want to see a team that is built for the elite to make it.

I too don't care for the elite although I have never been. I like the rivals I could make here in Thunder. The only reason I would like to someday go to the elite is that I want a Thunder championship.... plenty of Thunder championships. The fact that you cant re-peat(go back-to-back) sucks.

MEDIACENTRE only 60% contribution

C'mon everyone we're the league with the lowest contribution.

Lets at least get over 75% and make use of all that FREE Money on offer

There are still 12 teams to contribute anything yet - we only have 1 day left

I'm worried about Landru athletics - not logged on since 9th May - possible going Bot
